I object if only on the profiteering from human misery.

We need a root and branch change in the way we process economic migrants, asylum seekers and illegal immigrants. We need to process them accurately and in a timely fashion. Appeals also need processing quickly. Anyone declined the right to stay needs removing as soon as possible - even those from countries we don't have agreements with or the ones who deliberately destroy their documents. Doing all of this would remove the need to house tens of thousands of people for indefinite periods at great expense. The current system is totally broken and works only for companies like Serco.

F*ck the Tories who have spent 12 years doing the total of jack about any of this.
And if the other lot were in charge they'd just open the door (no checks or sending them back)... they'd also provide the boats for them to come over.

RAF to refurbish a few Shackletons and airborne lifeboats, to avoid Brexit delays at Dover.

Based on what?

Evidence shows migration continues to rise under Tory governments. I find it somewhat strange when people ignore the actual facts on net immigration to this country under the Tories and blame the non-ruling parties who have had little if any input. These people prefer to worship the daily mail scaremongering rather than look at the actual facts re immigration of the government we've had for the past 12 years.

So massive assumption, based on what exactly? You know how immigration has gone under the tories yeah? You know how we deliberately keep them here for years, living in privately run centers, never bothering to either approve or deny their paperwork? And despite that, you suspect others will somehow do worse? Can you point to factual evidence, or just daily mail articles?

Which bit of dirt your mum's waters broke over is such a weird way to choose who lives and dies.

Yes, that's right.
Meanwhile 'our' Cleo says "I am now seeking an urgent meeting with the Immigration Minister to again make clear to him my opposition and ask him to heed the decision of the committee, not to appeal this planning decision and look elsewhere for this facility."
"Look elsewhere", not that she has any idea where else. And there's no suggestion from her that speeding up processing of asylum seekers would alleviate the need for them to have such accomodation here or elsewhere. Maybe her uncle has shares in Serco !

I'm not saying that it isn't rising, I'm responding to your last sentence. In my opinion things would not improve under Labour.

Purely my opinion. Things would not improve

That being said… most of the students in Stafford Court were too busy playing video games or DND to be drugged up on anything except weed to get past the existential dread of copious amounts of student loan debt.

Source: I was a Stafford Court student, albeit without the weed. Someone I knew smoked two whole marijuanas and almost died so it put me right off /s
Same, although I was in the 2% - female studying Computer Science when it was a very male dominated science.

Yeahhh, we had 2 whole women in my Computer Games Programming course and one of them was strictly speaking on Multiplayer Games Programming

Once you start playing dnd it's really hard to find the money for drugs. All those rule books and pretty dice....
And the subscriptions for Beyond and Roll20…

Serco. From a public relations perspective I don’t think it helps that their name is phonetically similar to ‘Psycho’
