Very patchy. There was a bit when we were out but by the time we'd got home it had melted. Might still have been about in parts of the Chase this afternoon but I don't know as we found other ways of getting cold.It was snowing while over the chase this morning, but as soon as I got to the A34 it was gone.
I remember snow fences being erected for the winter in fields parallel to and east of the A34 between Bednall and Huntington to prevent drifting snow blocking the road but that was in the 1960s when we had proper winters, especially 1962 to '63.It was snowing while over the chase this morning, but as soon as I got to the A34 it was gone.
They still had them into the early '90s.
