Anyone who wants to park on asda longer than 2 hours you will have to visit https://www.horizonspaces.co.uk/ or download horizon spaces app for longer I believe it will cost you £4
Asda customers are still entitled to 2 hours free parking. However Horizon, who operate the carpark are now encouraging extra time @ £4 for 24 hours.
With this in mind, undoubtedly they will be patrolling and new notices are displayed.
Please be aware to avoid a ticket or prebook.

Does anybody actually see the sense in a 2 hour limit in areas where they have multiple shops that need your trade?
Totally arse about face! You could easily walk round the range, dunelm plus a drink stop, and do a farmfoods shop and go over your time. Must be a time where it drives business away!

But that's the thing, they are retailers attached to different car parks. If you're going to the range then park there....2hours for Dunelm, farmfoods and the bed place is plenty

Just to prevent overstaying or have they changed their policy?
The limit is 3 hours.

As far as I can tell it's to stop unauthorised use/overstaying. For example Halfords Autocentre were using it instead of parking on their own land (a VW Polo was parked on there for a week and the day the cameras get turned on it got moved behind Halfords workshop).

Received a letter from HS2 saying they are planning to do survey work over the next few weeks and will be installing temporary traffic lights as follows.

Apparently, somebody has used the area around St Bertelin's church for a spot of banger racing.
It was a van trying to escape from the police. The van lost control, went off road, damaged memorials where ashes have been buried and also hit the church. The culprits were caught.

Some damage to the grass was caused by the recovery truck.

A trawl of the internet would suggest that Benton's Memorials have already made huge progress in restoring the immediate area of the memorials.

There are some terrible temp lights at the junction of the Sandon Road and Beaconside Road that have caused long queues this morning. I can see no actual reason for the nasty temp lights who change far to frequently thereby letting less traffic through

It because of HS2 surveying. What they are actually surveying, I do not know.

Can only assume they're checking Beaconside for load bearing vehicles carrying the spoil away.
They never bothered with that sort of thing when my Great Great Grandfather was a labourer in 1861 building the line between Queen Street ( now Central ) and St Davids railway stations in Exeter.

Looks like there will be another roundabout going on the A34 near Whitgreave to give access to a new Pets at home distribution centre.
