What they doing now, more bridge repairs?
According to a comment on Nextdoor, a Royal Mail truck was driving too fast and drove into/through one of the bridges. What they doing now, more bridge repairs?
Or been bypassed to the railway bridge by a continuation of Beaconside ?This might seem a silly question for someone not from Stafford (but has lived here for 15 years).
Why hasn't the tight turn at Baswich over the bridge had traffic lights installed ???
Seen as they left a gap in the houses at Hydrant Way. Just need to continue the road to the roundabout at Tilcon Avenue.Or been bypassed to the railway bridge by a continuation of Beaconside ?
I think that is what we were going to get, but ended up with that little bike bridge instead.Seen as they left a gap in the houses at Hydrant Way. Just need to continue the road to the roundabout at Tilcon Avenue.
Because it’s not needed when people drive properly. This might seem a silly question for someone not from Stafford (but has lived here for 15 years).

Well yes, that does happen occasionally.Because it’s not needed when people drive properly.
And know the width of their vehicle, so not stopping for no reason just because someone is coming the other way.Because it’s not needed when people drive properly.
It would be a better question as to why South East Stafford has such terrible access roads. It's narrow country lanes if you want to dodge the town centre. Wouldn't it be good if they finished the ring of roads around the place properly? too late now, they can't afford to waste land building roads when there's probably 10,000 more homes planned.

Move
Try London
Lincoln
Bath
Anywhere in Hampshire
Then come back and tell us how great it is here

Not heard that one before. How would that improve matters for those wanting to go in the opposite direction to the one way system? What I’m more on board with is making most of the actual ring road of the town centre a one way system.
And how is that possibly going to improve the situation?Calling any of those roads a ring road is laughable. Beaconside is single carriageway, it needs to be dual the whole length.
Anything from Weston Road across Baswich won’t happen as the geography (marshland basically) makes it incredibly expensive.
