The Barbershops of Stafford.

Third haircut of the year and my first ever visit to The Foregate Barbershop. Going South Sam's should have been next but as he was my barber up until 6 months ago I felt I would return towards the end of all of this.
Foregate Barbershop then. 3 haircuts in and the previous 2 were nothing to write home about, this is Turkish so I have high hopes. No parking so parked on Goal Road Carpark. Paid for 2 hours as fancied a visit to a couple of vintage shops. 4.70 for 2 hours.
Straight in and no one waiting. I will say it was incredibly disappointing. I stress the "short as it can possibly be" bit when asking for a haircut and this was a standard zero. He did do my eyebrows though. The haircut wasn't great and I definitely wouldn't be back. He was a pleasant fella though and for other haircuts he may be fine. Perhaps he assumed that I really didn't want all of my hair gone. Any how. Cash only and currently the most expensive cut at £13

If you park on Sainsbury's it's only £1.80 for 2 hours & it's taken off your bill if you spend £5.00+

I know, we converted to Saindburys from Asda at Christmas. Comparable prices, better stock, less of a bear pit and the staff are excellent.

Dunna make anyones head too big, but I love how friendly the staff in Sainsburys are. Yes you get a couple of grumpy ones, but no-one knows if they've had a bad day or their Budgie has just died. On the whole, the rest are lovely. I have 2 main ones I will always natter to, if they can.

I'm not trying to get you to shop in Sainsbury's, just letting you know parking would be free, If your so inclined.

A visit to Stafford Kurdish Barbers near the old Monsoon shop. Might even be it's old premises, I am not sure but you know the place.
Parked over on Sainsbury's as I had a shop to do and headed to the barbers. Straight in and in the chair at 1pm on a Sunday. Haircut exactly as I wanted it. Ears and eyebrows done, as well as an offer of a shave and nose wax. Not hurried and by the time I was done all chairs were full and about 5 people waiting. Cash only and £10 for the haircut.
By some distance the best so far and after the previous three it's a temptation to remain with this one but for the sake of research, I will soldier on.

There are two barbers called magic scissors, at least in Stafford. There might be others elsewhere but in Stafford we have two of the same name on the same Street. Salter Street. I went to one of them the one that is closest to Aldi (where I parked) and this is my latest haircut of the year. They were pretty busy but I had a short wait and was very pleased with it. Very friendly but not over chatty, which I like very much and they did exactly what I requested and that is hair cut as close to my bonce as possible, and not have stubble left. I thought the last haircut I had was the best of the year so far but this place beat them by some fair margin, they did for all intents and purposes just give me the basics but they didn't, they did the ears, the eyebrows etc and offered me a shave which I took advantage of because I really enjoy a shave from a barbers. The haircut itself was 10 pounds, cash only of course, and for the shave it was 11 pounds and it was really worth 11 pounds. I think if I wasn't doing this that would be my new barbers but as I am moving on it every three weeks it might have to wait. Really good place.

At last! Someone posting something sensible on here… Great reviews

Enough of all this talk of David Essex moving slowly between Gnosall and Haughton on a canal boat, nobody cares
