Reaching Haughton on a canal boat would be very slowly, unless it was on a low loader.

Overnighting in the Oak before heading to Wildwood to join the northern line apparently

Looking good for his age

Saw this on BBC news last night. As soon as I heard “high streets shops as front for crime” I thought of the number of barbers & eastern eeuropean mini markets that have sprung up in town recently. Turns out it’s those shops that are the targets.

2 of the vape shops north end never have any one in them. I assume the one next to 'munch and slurp' was legit as it has closed.

This week's haircut was at Stafford Town Barbers on Market Street. Obviously no parking so I'm parked up at Aldi and walked over.

It's a Bank Holiday Monday so town itself was quite quiet and the barbers was extremely quiet, two barbers and zero people in there apart from me. So straight on to the chair and in all honesty it was fantastic, really good experience. Did my hair how I wanted, did my eyebrows, waxed my nose, and flamed my ears. I am quite a hairy man it seems. They did offer a shave, I did not take advantage of this as I was a bit pushed for time.

All in all they were friendly, they were polite and I will return at some point as they were excellent. The whole thing cost £10, which is fantastic particularly when up against all the competition that are similar price and were well worth the money. Potentially the best so far.

Stafford's best barber on bridge Street. That's the name of the barbers but also lofty words. They can never be shit, they can never be less than best or it would be a case of turning up at their door and pointing to your bonce and saying well????

Anyway that's where I found myself for this new haircut and immediately I was whisked into a seat explained what I wanted the usual as close to the bone as possible but I also asked if I could have a shave. The shave and the haircut would be exceptional, I seem to be saying this a lot but this is the *best* barber. Which is fortunate considering the name. In addition to doing the hair how I wanted and a close shave they did the usual eyebrows, waxed my nose and minimum of pleasantries, which I like.

The haircut is a rather pricey 12 pounds and the shave was a very reasonable not 9 pounds fifty, I was sat down for around half an hour and I am seriously considering knocking this challenge on the head and just using them as my barber. Cash only from what I could tell.

Obviously there isn't parking because it's on bridge Street but there is parking located nearby, I was parked on Aldi so that was quite handy. Yes so Stafford best barber really were very very good.
