Indeed it is. The nearest contender is the old Castletown Steakhouse thread, which has a little over half the number of replies.Pie & Ale said:Wow, just noticed, The Pie & Ale House has got 700 replies. Is this a record for the 'Out & About' section Admin?

Thank you Scoot Dog. Something very important you have pointed out. for your support.Scoot Doggy Dogg said:I think, in my humble opinion, Chambers, P&A, The Sun all deserve a thumbs up in bringing this town out of the "scruffy o'gogharty's 2 red bull & vodkas for £2" we were sold, to much disgrace, over the last ten years.
Let's embrace it. If the chips ain't cut just right or your pie isn't a pie but stew with a puff pastry top- f*ck it!! Eat your tea at home. Enjoy it now. If we don't, these pubs will go and we will have f*ck all else in the town centre of any entertainment worth unless you are 22 or under.
I've been drinking at the Greyhound and the Spittle for the past 7-8 years. I've only just started to go "down town" again. Please don't spoil it for me.
Of course, I'm still in the spittle most of the time and I don't think that will change for some years. A change, however, is as good as a rest. I like to have a pint before tea in the Sun on a Fri or Sat and occassionally I take the wife, who doesn't enjoy the spittle darts and motherspride butties. So for her social life at least, please, please support these pubs.
