.. and another that i'm sure wasn't any of the ^above but i couldn't metaphorically pin down.

Proper arse-end of summer, not even that warm, all feeding on blackberries - the berries themselves, not seen any flowers for a while now - bonkers.

Snow in California in the summer means the coldest winter in almost 14 years

... yet more butterflies.

Went for a pootle on the bike - quick scrumping session on the Millennium Green, then stopped at a big ivy clump in flower absolutely teeming with bees and butterflies (Commas & Red Admirals).

Had my camera with me so caught this one...

... which was the only half-decent shot i got (yes i have a shit camera).

I also saw a Hornet! Haven't seen one of them for nigh on two years or so. Scary looking fecker, didn't sit still long enough to get a picture, would probably not have been any good if i had.

Beautiful day and everything, but unless i am much mistaken, it is actually October.

Went for tea at the Red Lion Farm, and today i also saw that the place was absolutely packed. That came as a bit of a surprise too.

I also bought a pair of trousers - i saw them, too.

Quite a nice day really.
