It'll be a better drive than a corsa as it's a bit larger (based on the golf chassis I believe) but other than that I don't know. They're made by VW so one imagines they'll be refined and nice to drive.
depending on which model the focus is nice - the best are the mk1 and the worse is the current one (I have one of the current ones and it's diabolical compared to the first ones but still not a bad car as such).
a lot depends on age of car you want, budget and usage. details, details!
Ahh, I think so too, thanks for the adviceA Fiesta or Focus will be a MUCH better drive than a Beetle.
VWs built in the last 10 years or so have a reputation for a variety of electrical and mechanical (coil pack related and emissions related) issues which would push me towards choosing a Ford instead.
The majority of my driving career has been behind the wheel of a variety of Morris Minors. I now have a Landrover Defender, which I love and which was my 'wedding car'. I intend keeping the Landrover until it or I fall apart. But if a really nice Morris Travellor crossed my path, my head could easily be turned...
I never knew Morris Travellers were lesbian
That's nearly the same as the one I spotted at the Stafford Car Auction...
I never knew Morris Travellers were lesbian
Did you never wonder why they were called 'half-timbered'?
Yes, but off the top of the tower doesn't count. And I was doing 78 mph last wednesday coming back from Blackpool, so there!
To be fair I don't do many miles, between 3000 - 6000 a year, mostly use it for ferrying various children and their friends round & visiting rellies. I used to have a KA and loved it, but it was just a little to small, although it was great on petrol. Low budget, cheap insurance and needs to do a million miles to the gallon

I don't know how long a diesel would last doing 3-6k miles a year.
Just curious, but how would I get a LDV Convoy mini bus up to the top?
Not long before major expense is the answer for a modern diesel engine.
My old mate Gilbert has a new squeeze (widow) and he's enjoying being chauffered around in a Nissan Duke. Named after Phil ? I asked. 'Get one Baz i'll take years off ya' after looking one over I just might. Anyone recommend ? ........
