What I Did This Weekend - In Pictures!

We live near a school and are wondering if we might get complaints...

“Little Child wanted to know what a floozy was, how do we explain THAT”

So we might have to change “Floozy in the Jacuzzi” to “Cath in the Bath”

Husband just thought of another problem..

“When it rains, will the bath fill with water”

Oh Bug*er, didn’t think of that.

We’re now trying to find a cheap pop up gazebo.

Cant find anything under £40.

Well, this weekend I was given the privilege of being responsible for a gender reveal. That meant knowing the baby's gender BEFORE the parents. It also meant I had an opportunity to do something I hadn't done before and also get to cover someone in something!
Fake followed by real :)

Feels like a weekend, so this was today's job - a clean-up and service for the cordless grinder, including making the lock-off button work properly, handy on a cordless tool that you will pick up by the handle. And a slight modification to the pin-wrench, to ensure that it arrives with the grinder every time.

I would have preferred to fit it in a side-handle position, but the cooling vents preclude that option and it is going to be removed before use, anyway.

Dismantled the stove flue yesterday and did some modifications, reassembling it today. It had a few small leaks and the "Chinaman's Hat" was past its best. I picked up a 'new' cowl in The Hospice Warehouse and got a new bend off eBay.

All back together now and working much better.

The lower enamalled pipe is held in a couple of clamps, but the upper pipe is just socketed into it, and the cowl has just a friction clamp arrangement, so I have guyed the whole lot down to the support bracket, to avoid it being removed by an errant gust.

The cowl has all been greased up for (hopefully) easy dismantling now and then.
