The Borough Council are apportioned a wad from the Council Tax which is set by the County Council, tis true.

The common denominator is the Toryness of the players.

Indeed, there's also the Toryness of the central government that have cut their funding to local authorities. Nobody who voted Tory should moan, they're getting what they voted for.

Enjoying a drop of red.
Likewise nobody who voted Labour should moan as it was Labour who got the economy into the mess that necessitated the cuts being made in the first place. Though of course, the Tories would have cut anyway, as is the way of such things...

...like this ain't going to happen to Stafford!?

Instead of cutting down on, lets say, the costing of A4 paper and printing costs and ink costs and other mundane daily occurrences, they kick people to the curb, sack the little guys, the very people paying council tax.

I'd advise anyone to read Alan Sugars The Way I See It, a small section in there sums this right up!

On another note, can anyone guess if i've had an email reply, or an email saying, yeah we've received your email and will reply in due course, from either Ian Parry or Mike Heenan, regarding the possible closure of the Shire Hall Gallery?

A) no
or
B) no
