Really?

Having just read back through the whole thread, I wish to disassociate myself from my previous comment - one page of moaning - nine pages of absolute b*****ks - proof that we actually don't give a damn after all and that forums really just serve to amuse ourselves in the abscence of a good book and for keyboard warriors to troll. I don't know if I'm more amused than I was, or just depressed that my life is so empty that I have just read the nine pages of nonsense!!!

Oh well, off to the Co-Op.....

I haven't been into Aldi. My gripe on this thread is the horrible look of the building and the position it has been built.

I am not against Aldi. My gripe is the traffic queuing because of the roadworks which seem to keep springing up.

Enjoying a drop of red.

Is there a rating for the other three pages?

Bit disappointed doing a dinner party tonight and went to Aldi yesterday to buy some fresh raspberries and this morning (even though I'd put them in the fridge) they were turning blue and fuzzy. I think if you're buying fresh fruit and veg, as there is no sell by date it's probably best consumed on the day of purchase.

That's a shame, I always find that with Asda fruit & veg - Aldi's peppers are one to watch too - they never last long....

I'm pleased with my fruit and veg from Aldi so far. Bought some bananas on the first day they opened and still ok now.(Notice how well the healthy eating diet is going....fruit still in the bowl but most of the chocolate bars and sweets devoured before I make it home  )

All the other bananas I've had lately from elsewhere seem to have gone off within a couple of days. Not been to Lidl for a while, but never had a problem with their stuff either.

We always buy (once a month shop) our meat, washing powder & washing up liquid at Aldi in Stone & whichever veg is in the super six offer, but for some reason the peppers never seem to last more than 2 days in the fridge, everything else is great though. Maybe I'm just unlucky with peppers.

We bought some peppers today before reading this, will keep my eye on them .

Been fighting hubby for the cider which was supposed to be for me.... A decent mach for the dearer ciders elsewhere :)

@littleme Is the washing powder stuff OK? Saw some (Almat?) at a hell of a lot cheaper than my usual Persil/Ariel , even though I always buy it when it's on offer
