250,000th poster!
We bought some peppers today before reading this, will keep my eye on them .

Been fighting hubby for the cider which was supposed to be for me.... A decent mach for the dearer ciders elsewhere :)

@littleme Is the washing powder stuff OK? Saw some (Almat?) at a hell of a lot cheaper than my usual Persil/Ariel , even though I always buy it when it's on offer
We switched from Ariel to Almat when the husband was made redundant, the savings are huge & I would say its as good as Ariel....

....but, my step-mum also uses it & says she thinks it fades some black/dark clothes quicker than other washing powders do - I've only found this on my daughters navy school cardigans - but they're cheap Asda cardigans that she usually outgrows before they fade to badly! There is a powder for 'colours',but I just use the normal bio one :)

*edit* The Almat washing powder, liquid & tablets, & the Magnum washing up liquid are all recommended by the Good Housekeeping Institute.

Thanks, will give it a go then. Although as I tend to live mostly in black , will get the one for colours.

Peppers I bought the other day are still ok, but just had to throw one of the tomatoes I bought last night away (Although suppose it didn't help them jumping off the kitchen side onto the floor when I got them home  )

Cider I got from Aldi tasted ok, but woke up with a hell of a thick head after it this morning.

I walked there a few days ago, but didn't buy much, mainly because we were already pretty well stocked but also because I'd have to carry it home.

It seemed OK but I was disappointed there was no bakery (or at least I didn't see one). We're regular shoppers at Lidl and are usually happy with the quality of their fruit and veg, so hopefully Aldi's will be the same. (However Mrs Mikinton says to be careful of anything in polythene packaging as it'll go off quicker. And check cherry tomatoes in case there's a manky one lurking.)

Just been to have a look around the new Aldi. I was surprised to see that it is possible to turn right when leaving the car park as I remember this being discussed at a Baswich Forum meeting where the Head of Planning stated that a right turn would be restricted.

No problems with queuing traffic?

Enjoying a drop of red.

I have to say that, when the temporary traffic lights aren't on, there has been much less of a problem than I thought there would be, even at peak times.

No surprise the county council don't know what they're on about though...

Queues this morning on the car park trying to turn right - and a few cars queuing in the centre of the road to turn into Aldi. I think there will be a few accidents in that area!
