Bins!

Enjoying a drop of red.
A mate of mine, who declined to go to work yesterday due to the 'dangerous conditions' also moaned that the "fecking, lazy bin men" were using the snow as an excuse to have a lie in, and instead of emptying his bin as usual.

I was going to point out the hypocrisy of what he had said, when I heard the dulcet tones of his other half in the background, pointing out his fcukwittery to him in no uncertain terms. :D

There would also have been, in the conditions of the last few days, a considerable amount of extra difficulty with bin lids being frozen shut...

You can tell who has a good work ethic and who doesn't after a bit of a snow!

Coming to stafford, from cannock and the likes? fair enough!! a lot of people can't walk 10-20 mins when it's to dangerous to drive any excuse to get a day off!

Obviously it's different if you're less mobile, or have a condition of some sort.

I see the supermarkets doing home shopping, have been doing there best! and takeaways still delivering food.

My work ethic must be total rubbish then. I almost feel sorry for my employer...

I went in on Thursday when it was bad, on Friday they told me to stay at home. Instead I walked past work to do some wiring in my OHs shop!

Our blue bins were emptied today as scheduled. One person down our corner put their brown bin out which hasn't been emptied........I wouldn't have known and would have put my brown bin out as well if it wasn't for this informative forum !

No bins collected here yet I don’t think. Not entirely sure when they’re even due to be collected. I guess just whenever this week?

One thing that annoyed me recently is the council make a big deal about recycling, yet someone in good faith left a cardboard TV box for recycling by the side of their bin on recycling day, did they take it ? , Nope of course they didn't. Lazy gits.

It isn't a case of laziness. They aren't allowed to by their employer/the council.

'Someone' needs to read up on the collection dos and don'ts rather than willy nilly leaving things out in good faith.

Lazy git.

It is lazy , common sense should have prevailed . A cardboard box is only going to hurt the cotton wool generation. The paper box which you're allowed to leave outside the bin anyway, would have been heavier. Madness.
