Why did they ever promise Christmas? If they'd said no, then relaxed if figures allowed people would have understood.

If, as is rumoured, the Oxford Vaccine is approved the week before new year then we'll be almost out of this by Easter. It's not long to wait given how far we've come.

On the plus side even the people who voted Tory now hate them.

I have never had a good word to say about Amazon but if there's a shortage of cardboard it's obvious that it's going to go to a gigantic global company like them rather than a piddling little business like the Izaac Walton Brewery.

It's obviously going to go to a gigantic global company if they diberately buy all of the cardboard stock available even if they don't actually need it.

It would probably be appreciated if you might like to support some of our local businesses whilst the pubs are shut.

I'm sure Steve at Izaac Walton Brewhouse would welcome your cash and I'd be happy to collect and deliver your order for you can't get to Cold Norton to collect it.

I think I've supported local businesses more than most people over the years.
There's little I can do though whilst the pubs are shut as I've never been in the habit of drinking alcohol at home.

I have no idea what the rules are anymore. I haven't seen my little brother or sister for months as they don't live locally . :( :( I guess that won't be changing any time soon

It was only ever going to be the 3 of us on christmas day, with son being in our support bubble with him living on his own. Got no other family , so no change for us.

He has always been worried about coming home at christmas , but couldn't have him sitting on his own on christmas day.
(Apart from me dropping his food shopping off on his doorstep the once when he was bad with covid-19, and talking from the upstairs window for a few minutes whilst unloading it , not seen him for months as he was worried about the risk of carrying it and passing it to us. )

Fingers crossed he doesn't come into contact with it again at work before he comes home :hmm:
