Coronavirus.

I'm guessing it's the Pfizer vaccination that is being managed at the large city centre sites because it's harder to supply due to the low temperature requirements

And the Astra one at the local points

So if you had the first Pfizer jab at the Showground, but not the second, you might be off to Brum

But if you've had neither you're more like to be offered the Astra one, and probably locally

But I'm guessing
Yes, they've f**ked it up already.

What's the betting that they'll do Pick 'n' Mix by Feb because they've just lost track of who's had what?

Who's on first?

What's on second.

From the British Medical Journal

"The rapid test kits most widely used in UK detect just 48.89% of covid-19 infections in asymptomatic people when compared with a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test, real world data from the Liverpool pilot have shown"

So this is actually worse than nothing - in fact it is dangerous

The presumption should always be that you have the disease

This basicallyfuckseverythingup for those who think, because the slack jaws don't do detail

Ending soon I think

A dangerous practice

You were wonderful... tonight.

Yesterday I was tested at work for the Coronavirus.
Today I got the result back = Negative. So happy I could've cried.
But it's only Negative at the time of the test.
We have a few patients on the ward that are positive, along with a few staff too.

Long time since I posted.
Still shielding but able to exercise outside. The first time I shielded this wasn’t advised, in fact the first few days we were told not to even go in the garden but to open the window for fresh air!
So many I know have been infected, my brother almost died in May. My husband has recovered well and the rest of us seem to have avoided it. My sister in law lost her dad, her mom and two brothers also tested positive after one brother visited on Christmas Day not knowing he was infected but tested positive a few days later. A number of friends have been or are currently ill, some very ill.
I’m very lucky to be furloughed but redundancy is on the cards.
I’m patiently waiting for my call for vaccine although I’m not sure how much of a response I’ll have as I’m immune suppressed and the current advice is to continue to shield even after the 2nd vaccine.
I’m missing my parents and loved ones, a good cappuccino and a swim in the lake.
I utterly hate being described as vulnerable., even worse when I hear people say ‘it’s only the old and vulnerable who die’
I hope everyone is keeping safe.

I'm glad to see you're doing OK.

Unfortunately peoples attitudes out the continue to disappoint me, saw a couple today where the woman had a mask that said "If you can read this BACK OFF!!!" yet her partner was wandering around with his mask barely covering his mouth and nose completely uncovered. Couldn't help but think what a self entitled *****, expect everyone to keep you safe but they have to endure your fella spreading his crap around.

On second thoughts, 'like' seems an inadequate response. It was good to see a post from you. I'm glad you are managing to stay safe, even though most other things in your life seem to be sh*tty. Hope things improve as 2021 progresses.
Thank you x.
I’m sure everyone is feeling a bit down with all this but I try to remind myself I might be staying in for a long period but aren’t I fortunate I’m not in a flat with small children and no garden. I’m also at home with the people I love most so it really could be harder. The cappuccino thing is a battle though! Lol

oh I sympathise. Most people are getting on with life as safely and as best as they can but some people amaze me and really not in the most positive way. I’m finding I have to scroll past a lot of social media posts very quickly before I get drawn into a post that irritates me.

I know you're not asking for help in this post but just in case you've missed it there is a separate thread for anyone who may need any help during these awful times.

Please don't be afraid to ask if you need a hand with anything whilst you are shielding.
