I'm I missing something here. he drove up to Durham to ensure his 4 year old could be guaranteed care if he became too ill to do it himself. what kind of parent wouldn't want to ensure their child was safe? safeguarding was/is a permitted reason to go out. the most recent allegations haven't been proven and denied by cummings. whether he resigns or not is up to him but is it right to sack him without good evidence that he broke the law.

No, the real surprising thing, is that no one in London provides childcare.

Finding one still operating and willing to provide services to a 4-year-old with infected parents and with a high probability of the child also carrying the virus. I would imagine it would be very difficult.

And driving all the way up to County Durham, from London, while suffering from covid19 is the answer, is it?

Yes I'm sure if there is a second spike in London and all the parents load up their kids in their cars and drive around to all four corners of the UK that will be fine. At least their children will be safe, at least for a short time. It is after all what any parent who really cared for their children would do.

His brother in law lives in London. There's no way they didn't know someone to look after the kid.

No way they won't have stopped somewhere on the way, 250 miles with a 4 year old without a loo break? So spreading it round the service station.

Then they went on a trip to Barnard Castle.

Durham has had a spike in cases.

We were told to stay at home whatever happened.

farking hypocrites. They don't care, and now lockdown is over and they'll blame us.

Don't worry everything I do with follow the new guidelines as laid down by Boris :) I will act in full compliance with the law and with integrity with the sole aim of fighting the virus. With Cummings as my role model I can't go wrong :)

Who could possibly have foreseen any of that?

And you know what, if they'd have held up their hands and admitted it and told the country not to be so stupid as them I'd have accepted it. But they've lied and obfuscated.

If you didn't go and see a dying relative because you were obiding by the law only to be subsequently told to use your common sense how would you feel? It'll haunt you forever.

Four legs good two legs better.

I just can't get angry about this. But then I'm old school, I usually fall back on simple solutions.

Out back, big concrete wall, .50 calibre machine gun. Problem solved.

One might regret that impaling on a stake is banned under international law.

But he never used that childcare? He went in case he might need it, he said he didn't actually need it, so it was non-essential travel whilst symptomatic which was directly against the stay at home message he'd been instrumental in getting put out. Plus a trip to a castle at easter, obviously that was essential too, and lets not forget wilfully infecting his parents if he had used them because as you say the child would be carrying it too. I guess he did say at the start who cares if a load of pensioners died, didn't realise he meant his own parents too.

If you're defending him I really hope you don't have the gall to be clapping for the NHS too, because people like him are why we have the highest death toll in the world bar the US (whose leader thinks UV bleach is the answer). We not only had the advanced warning of getting it later, we also had one of the easiest countries to close up due to being a farking island, yet we monumentally screwed up every step of the way and now 50,000 people are dead and you are defending a government endorsed plague bearer.

I'll need to find sources, but as I remember it......

    • We were urged not to drop kids on elderly relatives
    • We were told not to leave the house if symptomatic, or anyone in the house is (my housemate was sent home from work because my brother who also lives here had a cough - we all had to isolate?)
    • We were told not to go anywhere unless for food or medication or we were a key worker
    • In fact the very first two words of the message we say every feckin day were STAY HOME!

I mean FFS, we still can't go into aldi as a couple yet he's swanning around a feckin castle with his infected family?!?!?! Operation herd immunity in full effect, but they don't care if you die. I notice County Durham has more deaths than all the surrounding areas bar Newcastle, I'm sure the families are right behind Johnson on this one.

So of course, as we're dealing with the tories, what are they trying to hide during this shitstorm?

Forgot to add, we're still not allowed to mix with anyone from another household? I've not seen my mum in 2 months, I see my sort of step daughter from the end of the driveway, and none of us have symptoms! In fact the only people I know who've died are indirect (a friends dad, anothers grandparent), I don't know of a single person I actually see regularly who's even had it, but we're so backwards with our track and trace* system that we can't even use that as a means to open back up the country.

    * Designed as a tracking tool to be used after the outbreak, centrally stored with no right to delete your data and to be used for research purposes later on. Who'd have thought we'd need corporations like google and apple to save us from our own government?

Oh do be fair, Boris said that poor Dominic couldn’t find the “right” kind of childcare and he was following his instincts as a father. Great fatherly instincts to stick your kid in a car for 4 hours with two adults who are just about to become incapacitated and head off to kill their grandparents (just up the road).

How did he know he was about to become incapacitated and if he did was he actually safe to drive in such a condition?

Why do Boris and his advisors think the rest of the nation are such gullible tw*ts?

Apparently anyone that was previously fined for being out and about under lockdown can now apply for a refund under the new law of “Cummings & Goings”.
