Cuffy to the rickerscote car wash, went to get my car cleaned before being told my cars too big and would cost more. I pointed out it is actually smaller then a Ford focus which he agreed and then told me it would cost more because my car is dirty. I gave up and did it myself in half an hour and saved £15. I'm a regular there but won't be returning.

Last time I went there I got the impression that they were hinting at a higher price as they said that the car was very dirty. I already pay more as its a 4x4 and I always give them a tip at the end. The car was not that bad and no dirtier than usual. I haven't been back to them as it put me off.

Cuffy to Coffee No.1...

They didn't think about Ironman at all given the 3 sole staff members plodding along taking an age to serve this afternoon. Come on folks it's not as if the event just appeared out of nowhere....

I use one in Cannock, down the Wolverhampton Road not far from Longford Island. £10 mini valet, pretty decent job and friendly bunch

Skill to Specsavers. Originally started using them because my old workplace paid for my eye tests there and have stuck with them since for my biennial review for my reading glasses.

Turned up 1 minute before my booked appointment time. Straight in, thorough eye examination and no hard sell.

Despite the mixed reviews they get, I've always found them to be excellent (if not, I'd be one of the first to go elsewhere).

TIP: If you want to avoid being taken to one of the upstairs examination rooms, book online and ask for step-free access in the special requests box.

Cuffy to Sweet

Took the family there last night as a treat for the daughter. Place was virtually empty as we were expecting. Put the order in, 1 milkshake and 2 x servings of ice cream. Milkshake came out and there was pretty much just under 10 minutes until the ice cream came out....ridiculous given how quiet the place was. The other think that annoyed me was the way they sprinkled bloody icing sugar on the slate the bowl came on !!!

Highly unlikely well be going back...

A little disappointment with Slaters in town yesterday.

Went in to meet up with some friends and watch the second half of the World Cup final, ordered a few drinks and was bowled over by the price!

Ordered a gin for my other half, a pint of coke and a pint of lemonade......£15.95 please?:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

bare in mind the soft drinks were poured from a bottle....

A little stunned, I asked how much the gin was, £7.25....OK fair enough, its an unusual flavor and I get that,

What I did take exception to was the £4.35 for a soft drink..........from a bottle that was probably bought from a super market.

surely that's a bit excessive????

By that price its cheaper to get drunk than to stay sober (especially if you are the designated driver) and still enjoy the bar's atmosphere?

Perhaps a revision in soft drink prices may be helpful?

You are not being unreasonable. That seems steep to me.

Hmm, I'm in there tomorrow for the quiz night. Lets hope I don't need to sell a kidney, as it'll likely be returned for a refund.
