Can't be too careful!

I also note that the posts from the old Forum have been imported without the actual time of postage, although they still carry the date. The post time can sometimes be useful when trying to estimate the competence of the poster when the send button was pressed. I only noticed this as I have just reviewed some of Mr Marwood's references in the chuggers thread..

Posts from within the New Forum time do carry the time of posting.

Much as i do not wish to take this personally...

I thought they did on the old one as well - though if you make a note of the time of this posting, you might have an element of doubt as to the 'competence of the poster'.

1, I attempted to steer it away from you, as best as I could.

2, The time was there in the old days, but seems to have been lost in the transfer.

I'm in a conversation at the mo....there's a box the same as the one I'm typing in now at the bottom of the screen, so you just reply in there like you'd reply in a normal thread.

Or click 'Reply' to the right of the message you've received and it will quote the person's message....again, exactly the same as you do within a thread.

Just to let you know Facebook integration is now working - so I guess i will now find out what it does!
Excellent! I had forgotten to enable a certain setting within the Facebook application which the integration relies on, which I corrected over the weekend, so I'm glad to hear it's working now. :)

It is possible to send a message and disable the 'right of reply' via a tick box when you originate the conversation.

We now have a floating sub-navbar, which will hopefully solve the problem people have been having where you have to scroll all the way to the top just to click SHOW UNREAD POSTS, as the bar will follow you down the screen. :)

Does it seem to work OK for everyone? Any problems with it? Would people prefer to just have a button at the bottom of each thread for SHOW UNREAD POSTS?

Where relevant, you now have option to add a Prefix to your thread when creating it.

For example, in the Stafford For Sale forum, you can choose to prefix the thread with 'For Sale', 'Free', or 'Great Offer'. This makes it much easier to identify classified threads when clicking Show Unread Threads. :)

I have just received my first "conversation" by the new forum system (I read this as the old PMs'?)...

Just to clarify for anyone looking for a 'Private Message' button:

To start a private conversation with someone, simply:

1) Click on their avatar/picture to bring up their details.
2) Click 'Start a Conversation'.
3) Enter the message title and contents of your private message, check the options at the bottom to see if they apply, then click the blue 'Start a Conversation' button.

:)
