Hey Rusty!

I absolutely love your photos! Impressive skills!

I've been meaning for ages to do some urban exploring - mind if I tag along with you and your troop sometime?

Interesting photos, and I'm glad that it's being documented, However, I feel that the HDR used on them doesn't do them any favours as pure documentary photos,
I'm not criticizing the pics themselves, (I love HDR and use it myself) but feel that it takes away some of the reality and detail that is in the original photos
and that it should just be used for the pics that get put up on the wall or in albums.

But apart from that, welcome to the forum Rusty, wonderful first post,I hope to see many more from you.
Cheers mate and yeah i know what you mean but thats the style i do as i take the photos for myself not as documentary photos , i am into photography for the artistic side as i progressed to photography from art . I try to make my photos have atmosphere in them and feel i get the result that i desire . Its just a personal thing photography and takes all types to make it such an interesting hobby .

Thank You

Rusty

Good thinking, there. It would be nice to have some quality records of it before it's all gone.

Hospitals and military sites seem to be the most popular for this activity, possibly not just because of their size, but because they are usually more isolated from their surroundings.

There's some excellent stuff on RAF Chilmark
Hospitals, Asylums ,military, manors, halls, industrial, drains ,mines and rooftops all have interest in the urbex community . My favorites have to be the old Victorian Asylums

I do drive so transport is not an issue. I love anything building/bridge/industrial related. Actually, I'll photograph anything really - just been kicked off the shell site in runcorn (about an hour ago) for taking photos - the security phoned my car's numberplate into the police and then made me delete all of the photos of the refinery :(

and the information that no one can make you delete photos with out a court order!
(I get REALLY annoyed at the way photographers are treated these days)

Very interesting information - thank you!

No trespass as far as I could tell but I wasn't paying attention, was trying to find a vantage point. I didn't cross any boundaries as it's all gated off.

This is one of those things with photography that i keep hearing about . I have been into this type of photography now for years and so know the law and my rights . But when ever i get caught i get all sorts of story's from the security who really never have a clue about what they are saying . Trespass is not against the law in this country and also you are not even trespassing until you are asked to leave and don't . They were so wrong to make you delete you photos as they have no right at all . There is a program you can get called San disk recovery pro and it will recover all your deleted pics :D
