Cheers mate and yeah i know what you mean but thats the style i do as i take the photos for myself not as documentary photos , i am into photography for the artistic side as i progressed to photography from art . I try to make my photos have atmosphere in them and feel i get the result that i desire . Its just a personal thing photography and takes all types to make it such an interesting hobby .age'd parent said:Interesting photos, and I'm glad that it's being documented, However, I feel that the HDR used on them doesn't do them any favours as pure documentary photos,
I'm not criticizing the pics themselves, (I love HDR and use it myself) but feel that it takes away some of the reality and detail that is in the original photos
and that it should just be used for the pics that get put up on the wall or in albums.
But apart from that, welcome to the forum Rusty, wonderful first post,I hope to see many more from you.

Hospitals, Asylums ,military, manors, halls, industrial, drains ,mines and rooftops all have interest in the urbex community . My favorites have to be the old Victorian AsylumsGramaisc said:Good thinking, there. It would be nice to have some quality records of it before it's all gone.basil said:Hello Rusty, any chance of you getting some interior shots of the Castleworks site? as it's possibly coming down this year.........
Hospitals and military sites seem to be the most popular for this activity, possibly not just because of their size, but because they are usually more isolated from their surroundings.
There's some excellent stuff on RAF Chilmark

Actually, I'll photograph anything really - just been kicked off the shell site in runcorn (about an hour ago) for taking photos - the security phoned my car's numberplate into the police and then made me delete all of the photos of the refineryRusty said:cheers mate and yeah i will give you a shout if i have anything planned you may like .
