GDH property management

I havent read the whole thread here but want to add my point - im a landlord and before leaving the UK rented my property through GDH. the lady there (i cant remember her name) was extremely helpful and after i had probably 12 months of pain free renting... then one call i realised she had gone..... a few months later and a change in tenant i had late payment issues from the tenant. i asked to threaten them with eviction and after this happening for nearly a year, and repeated requests for photos of GDH visits, i never not replies i got so annoyed i moved to MArtin & Co. i heard that they had received complaints from GDH landlords with the same experience.

i got it officially handed over to MArtin & co the same day but i found out the following :

- GDH had lost the keys to my property
- their accounts Dan MacCarthy had refused to pay the tenants bond over
- they hadnt done visits for 2 years.

i hounded this Dan guy for months but no luck. i dont think its ex-employee going.. the problems and downfall from GDH appeared to be this Dan guy keeping hold of money - i think they were in financial strife a long while before they went into administration.

as it turned out the tenant had been paying all rent on time so glad i didnt kick them out... when you are a landlord like me, overseas, then you want absolute confidence. i should have questioned why my contact left the company.. i am currently in contact with the ombudsman... good luck tenants, and as im not sure if GDH are still trading any landlords reading this move away from GDH and quickly

I tried to contact Turner PMS today all to no avail. One phone number disconnected, one straight to a voice mail that didn't identify the business and promised to ring 'right back' (didn't) and one to a number that just rang ....

I guess they don't want the rent then.

We have tried to contact them before and received no response. Time for another letter methinks.

This looks familiar: http://www.residentiallettingsuk.com/ (see the year at the bottom of the page - 2011).

Two of the three numbers I attempted to contact Turner on were the two on the website above, and received no response. That website has actually been running for a couple of months now.

A friend of mine has lost quite a tidy sum in rent to GDH. They were collecting it from their tennant and not passing it on. Presumably this is why Dan McCarthy can afford such a nice car - Git! It's a shame the cook report isn't on any more. It would've been good watching McCarthy doorstepped by Roj!

hi there guys I was also a tenant using this company, and I have finally got in contact with him, cos I have my deposit protected the first time by TDS and now by the DPS. Both myself and my landlord have tried to contact him and his company but there is no one at the office. I have jumped onto this website and called the phone number 07718 661000 and spoke to the owner of the company. he will be dealing with me and my wife now and she aint a happy bunny

they didn't protect half of the tenant deposits but as they went bump - you had to resister as a creditor to try to get any of your money back - but it seems little chance of getting anything refunded as they had prob has loads debt - try deal with your lanlord directly
