Really. . that's one expense saveloy.tek-monkey said:Spent many an evening in there playing the arcade games. Plus, if you paid £20 for a cone of chips, there was a suprise in the bottom

While in no way wishing to diminish, what is an appalling catalogue of hygene disasters, I am constantly surprised by the standards at our resturants. As you can imagine, restaurants are liable to the odd kitchen fire, so we go in when no one has had a chance to clean up first. It is across the board, no matter what the style of cuisine. I've seen some horrifying stuff, and of course you take them off your list of prospective eateries!henryscat said:Some reading on Panache...

The last couple of times i've been to Malabar i've had fish. The first time I had Sea Bass and was very excited, only to be very disappointed. I Sea Bass and have had it in a few other places and it's been top notch, but this was rubbish. I swore that next time I went I wouldn't have fish, but did exactly that and went for the Swordfish steak. Rubbish again. Not recommended.tek-monkey said:and how does it compare to Malabar?
I've not been to Malabar but the starters were about £6+ and from what I can remember the main courses ranged from about £12.95 to about £16.95 I can't remember any other prices, sorry I'm not too much help. The only thing I can say for definite was that it was lovely. Didn't have a pud. The size of the meals were average. Not loads of anything, just enough to eat and enjoy but not to stuff yourself.tek-monkey said:What sort of prices are we talking, and how does it compare to Malabar?
