This was actually one of the reasons I haven't got one - It's not like Karma II is expensive anyway and it's independent so I'd rather support it fully.
same here! not at all criticising your use of it, tek (obv's - that would be ridonkulous), just sayin' my main reason for not getting one of these cards is the same as wormella..

i suspected there was no reimbursement to the discount-offerers, and i don't get out for a curry as often as i'd like to as it is, so when i do i'm happier paying full price (plus tip) to karma cos i'd be gutted if they disamappeared :(

Ate here for the first time last night. The food was excellent. I had the king prawn garlic chilli special. The prawns were the size of lobsters. The sag aloo was even better than Spice Island's. If I wasn't reacquainting myself with the treadmill I could quite happily eat here every week.

Had a top meal there last night, wel impressed as usual. There were a fair few of us, but everyone was pleased and we got a bottle of wine to take away and myself and my partner had a free drink too. Happy days :D

What time were you in there Kingy? :strange:

11.15. Mrs King and myself were the only ones in the restaurant. We had been to sample a large number of beverages at the Pie and Ale followed by a few at the Sun before arriving there.

Ah, we'd left by then. Was curious as we were the only table in there, but couldn't place you amongst our group!

There were a group of people in the reception when I first went in. I wanted to find out what time they were open til. I guess that was your party. Mrs King liked the napkin display and cutlery as well as the food. Portion sizes were good. I managed to eat all of mine without feeling bloated.

Is there some doubt as to whether they are going to survive? Stafford does have an overload of Indian restaurants.

My treadmill plan was put on hold yesterday as Buffet Island called like a siren.

Just run there and back. Win-win.

Sell the treadmill. Win-win-win.

Have another night out with the money. Win-win-win-win.

And the extra space at home for her to do her own napkin display!

I'm not entirely sure what time we left, but could well have been us :)

I honestly don't know, but it is always dead in there and they seemed very happy to have us in. I don't understand why though, they do the best curry in Stafford! I was always a Malabar fan, but I've not really been back since visiting Karma II. I can only assume its the location, no passing trade as such?

Maybe I should go on a low carbohydrate Napkins diet?

Another issue is that it looks closed even when it isn't due to the subdued neon lighting in the front window. The decor and cutlery is quite stunning but not visible from the outside. Maybe they need to advertise this more in the window with some large quality prints.

It amazes me too, I think the only thing they are doing to promote their great food and service is have reviews written about them on here.

We had a doggy bag last time and the guy actually chased my brother in law down the street when we'd forgot it.

I only tried them on the basis of the reviews on here because I assumed that they were rubbish because they never look busy. Dilshads suffers the same I'd imagine although I wasn't disappointed when I ate there some years ago either.

The amount of times I've gone past it and thought it was closed, they definitely need to do something with the front, does anyone else think that the window is always misted up?

Am planning to have a takeaway from here tonight. Could someone please post a link to their online menu if it exists.

There are links to the menu on the first page, but I'm not sure if they are current or outdated! Still, I would imagine they will provide a good starting point, or at least give you a decent idea. :)

I spotted that. It would be useful if somebody could do the same thing for a recent menu. I can't find one online.
