LMS 46100 "Royal Scot" travelling north, stopping at Stafford this afternoon on platform 6 from 14:24 to 14:32. En route from Telford to Crewe, having made use of the Oxley Chord in Wolverhampton to 'cut the corner'.

That return time seems potentially optimistic to me...

The original 14:03 on Monday June 18th has been cancelled, and replaced by a slot at 14:03 on Sunday June 17th on realtime trains. Nothing on the Steam Dreams website to say it's leaving a day early. Perhaps it's all just another train timetabling error, and they may eventually move the slots back from Sunday/Monday to Monday/Tuesday. Watch this space!

The trip is part of a longer holiday to the Lake District - the steam train that brings them back from Carnforth (not the Flying Scotsman) goes up through Stafford at 14:03 on Thursday June 20th and returns at 16:17 on Thursday June 21st.

Now showing as 14.03 on 15th and back at 16.17 on same day or 18th. Same sort of times on other dates as well so I suspect these may just be West Coast railway's booked slots.

Railtour info says it runs on the 18th from London Victoria to Carnforth via Barrow Hill whilst the tour operator steam dreams says it runs on the WCML.

Nothing's ever straight forward with this loco is it?
