Morrisons coming to Stafford?

If the current management of Morrisons was offered a viable exit strategy for this store project, then I suspect that they might take advantage of it.

If Morrisons have / are pulling out I would have expected two things to happen; firstly works to stall and, secondly, a planning application (s) by the new food store operator to make changes to the approved drawings. At the very least the new operator (if there is one) would need to submit a planning application to change the signage and the name above the door.

I've not seen any evidence of the above.

This is the reply I got via Facebook from Morrisons regarding the store in Stafford

Hey Gavin,

I honestly don't know, so I will ask! I'll let you know once I have a response.

Hope this is OK

Cheers, Jack

I had a reply on facebook too and it states " site is still under review and we should hopefully have an update soon"

Same response you get if you contact M&S. The fact in the last few months have spent 6 figures to kit out the store with one staffordshire contractor suggests that is nailed on there shouldnt be much concern with posters coming soon which commonly are applicable to single business/ store sites.

morrisons do have an opt which will cost them in access of 6 figures.
