Mike Pence stayed at Trump's golf course not too far away recently.

Operation Careful Now was launched to protect him.

This is Stefan Schlei, world record holder for thumbing lifts, apparently it's been over a million kilometres on his quest to visit every football ground in Europe.

On his way now to the final one in Ireland, Waterford.

I used to hitch hike a lot back when I was a student... (Edinburgh to Stafford starting Friday night, Stafford back to Edinburgh Sunday morning .) Nobody thought it was anything unusual then.

Now if I see a hitch hiker I usually go up the pavement in an attempt to kill them !!! (I've been watching too many Rutger Hauer movies … :heyhey:)

So, a vehicle checkpoint with the Road Safety Authority in Clare today may have put the wind up some poor person to the extent that they had to be airlifted to hospital.

Posted today, with the caption "A car on the road is worth two in the bush".

Looks like the Irish have the same parking problems as some parts of England.

The correct technical term is "blatant abandonmentness".

Burning Catholics being generally frowned upon in the Republic, tonight is the most likely time to hear a firework, although they are essentially banned from sale, possession or usage in the state, without a licence.

So, people are being reminded that their animals might like to be indoors, as smuggled fireworks do get through the defences.

This chap was apprehended in the early hours today and brought back to the station in Limerick.

It appears that they have decided to charge him.

Wish our roads looked like that. Maybe we could ask Kim Jong Un to take over Highways for a bit of a culture change. Whilst he's here he could see if any of our, many, barbers could perhaps work a miracle.
