Moving to staffordshire, any advice?

We've been in Weeping Cross and Kingston Hill since we've lived in Stafford, both great areas with no problems, but then after living in Beirut (sorry, Luton) I really don't think there are any bad areas in Stafford from what I've seen.

Thanks dabbler

I've got a note pad for stafford now, with all the info you guys keep giving me.

That's sad but I can't help be obsessed with lists

There's quite a lot of fitness classes / personal trainers that I know of in Stafford it's self, but there's a good seslction of halls to rent pretty much everywhere.
There is??
I moved to Brocton last dec and haven't been able to find any classes or trainers la
Ocally even though the village has a brilliant village hall

Thanks Helen, that's helped loads with an area I can tackle. Whats the name of the village hall?

Thanks

What is your price range golildilocks? And what are you looking for in a house? That might help us suggest the best area to suit you.

I'm not at that stage yet, but probably only about 120/130 to buy a 2 or 3 bed.

Or I may start off private renting.

Start off small and work towards big

In a house I'm not fussy, if it's a 2 bed then a little more spacious ie a kitchen/diner.

I'm in a 2 bed semi now and there's no room. Not fussed on gardens I dislike gardening. I'd be happy with even a flat or something. Just not somewhere mega busy, I like quiet

Well that rules out most of Stafford to be fair. Will be able to get a small semi or small terrace, probably in the north end or out east, Coton Fields way. Very very little in that price range in Wildwood, Baswich or Castlefields.

Private renting will be c£500+ a month

Thank you a lot for taking the time out to do that :)

Much appreciated

Haha I think I've heard about rugeley, anyone want to shed some light on it?

Tired, depressing, easy access to nowhere, town centre mainly shut, giant Amazon warehouse, full of tarts at night.

Apart from that, it has a lot going for it including spectacular views over the power station cooling towers.
