Being brought up there is of little relevance. Were you gestated there, that is the question?
No, that would be Highfields I presume - lived there for the first 7 months of my life.
7 months surely you qualify, and to think that you've infiltrated into enemy territory Are you getting by with the language etc. Is it true that they put lard on their cornflakes?.........

I was gestatd in Rising Brook, but also have the correct number of digits. Perhaps it's because my parents were incomers. .. I'll go count my neice and nephew's toes at once.

May I attempt to bring this thread back on track by saying that I tried a £2.70 crunchie milkshake from the new milkshakes shop in the Guildhall and I thought it was, well, not very good at all. Maybe crunchies are not the best for the job, but the gimmick of just taking some sugary confectionery and blending it with milk is a novelty which has worn off after the first time for me.

Naturally I would like to wish the milkshake shop every success, however, I have to agree with Andreas that this does not look like it will be a long-term fixture in our lovely town.

I've given you a skill point. Nice to see a proper review on here, instead of mindless chatter!

Thank you, Sofa. It's nice to know at least one person round here still understands the concept of a discussion forum! ;)

I beg to differ on the 'off track' suggestion and 'mindless chatter' conotation all posts have stemmed from the original topic and one by one they are linked. When i'm mixing it with some of my noted drinking pals no one is chastised for moving the conversation into another sphere, Although it can provide mirth if say we're talking about the health of elderly matriarch and on return the suject has unknowingly changed and one hears, " I'd give it a quick poke and then throw an old tyre and a bale of straw on it and watch the poor cow burn"........

I'd wager that when you are mixing with some of your noted drinking pals, your conversation doesn't take the form of a threaded discussion forum.

Each topic for discussion here is given its own thread, and there is only so much deviation that is allowed, otherwise it completely defeats the point of threaded discussion. Obviously, the odd off-topic joke or related throw-away comment is welcomed, but when threads persistently descend into three word quotes of archaic radio programmes, it does get somewhat irksome.

Dunno but this is my thousandth post and i'm wondering what that equates to in time spent not only tapping in this stuff but thinking about it. Whoops i've deviated again........

i actually tried there for the first time the other day i was impressed it is basically the street version of willitblend.com but with food i had to try the arthur a farleys rusk with ginger snaps with malteasers. Although i do think it is an easy coma to any diabetic as most of there ingredients seem to have sugar
