Keep up with your civic duties. We all need to do that.

Glad to see that the 10th post has raised you to full member status after a two-year apprenticeship. There's hope for Beverley yet.

I now feel fully vindicated for defending you in the recent identity-theft crisis outlined above....
I only feel the need to post occasionally, I'm more of a lurker on here. :)

On the subject of civic duties, the Western Access is covered elsewhere on here, but Oddfellows Hall is hosting consultations on this tomorrow.

There is an on-line survey for anyone unable to attend the office-hours event tomorrow.

Saw the rozzers stop a couple of cars going from mill bank to sth walls this evening, unfairly whilst the seemed to be issuing fixed penalties other cars were sailing thru' willy-nilly........:xmas:

This 'new road layout' is a total mindf*ck! it's now become a complete free for all farce, cars buses taxis etc are going every which way they can. Enforcement seems to have been abandoned i'm expecting to see Brian Rix with his trousers around his ankles exiting Mill Street very soon. Crikey! whoever is responsible for this cock-up had best be kept away from any Western Relief Road planning, inner or outer.......:xmas:

Erm some posts have gone missing, they are posts that followed a natural flow of intelligent debate and wit. Where are they and why?......:xmas:

Agreed it did start to deviate but then so has the stupid highways dept and associated agencies. I think the living baron brian rix would have deemed it a farce and he would know one if he saw one........:xmas:

After looking at those three photos, I contacted the Council in regard to the confusion caused.

It sounds like these signs are pretty much irrelevant for most 'passing' motorists and they do not want people getting this far in the first place. The signs at the junctions of Water Street/Millbank/Mill Street/Victoria Road apparently state 'no motorists', so these must have been ignored in the first instance.

After the 'settling in' period, the police will be introducing stricter measures. I must say I do agree with this step as 1) spending thousands on new brickwork has become pointless, 2) the fact that the pedestrian crossing has disappeared currently makes it difficult to cross from Bridge Street to Greengate Street.

I was in town earlier and could not resist a random sample of how effective these new signs are. See how many motorists ignore the new regulations in just 5 minutes!!! http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=244878216315

Police officer stopping all traffic outside Nationwide this afternoon. Probably pointing out the error of their ways to car drivers and white van men. No tickets were issued and the drivers were allowed to continue on South Walls.

About time too the new regulations are still being flagrantly ignored.
