..although, there's still a bit of finishing off to do..

Without my glasses on, the bit on the left, looks like it's storing hay bales.
I'm not 100% sure if that is plywood shuttering, insulation panels or limestone cladding, to be honest. Maybe the windows are behind it for now?

Having just driven past, it does look like temporary plywood shuttering, protecting the windows behind - I do hope it is, anyway.

Hope the river banks will be part of the scheme and become an asset to the area
Possibly, with rowing boats for hire - again...?

What were the wires for (holding up the white posts?). Was that for the original bridge design - ie suspension?

The inside looks a bit bland if I am honest...and driving past it, it doesn't seem to blend in with the architecture and landscape of Stafford town centre. It just looks a bit out of place for some reason?? I can't put my finger on it...

Enjoying a drop of red.

To be fair it would be difficult to blend in with the two principal buildings in that part of town. The Borough Council building and RBS both being hideous pieces of excrement.

We should be grateful the new building doesn't blend in.

It would have been nice to have a suspension bridge, as originally shown, but what's happened to the glass atrium ? It has changed from a nice wide feature to something resembling a carport roof. :(

I reckon it'll be quite stuffy in there and airless. I thought it was going to be open topped? That roof will get dirty quite quickly, the new shopping streets in Liverpool look modern and fresh, as does the Bullring and Grand Central in Birmingham. This looks disappointing to me tbh in Stafford. I think where the library is now in those glass buildings looks fairly modern but it looks a bit dull this new shopping centre.
