Riverside shopping centre on hold?

It would have been nice to have a suspension bridge, as originally shown, but what's happened to the glass atrium ? It has changed from a nice wide feature to something resembling a carport roof. :(

It is a lot narrower isn't it Laurie61?? Rather than being spacious in there, it will feel quite cramped. Wrexham's fairly recent modern shopping complex is nice and wide, with fountains and good use of coloured building materials which is appealing to look at.

Not in Stafford though.

don't mention the blinds
It was a cable-stayed bridge - stylish, but more expensive than a generic thing.

We should have kept the old Bailey Bridge, at least that had some interest behind it.

The Bailey Bridge was being crossed by vehicles 6 hours after the erection commenced......

..although, there's still a bit of finishing off to do..

That bridge doesn't look very safe to me. I have a bit of a phobia about bridges and I hate the one at The Bull Ring that you cross from the car park to Selfridges.

Park underneath the centre instead.

How is acceptable to sell the idea to the council and the people of Stafford with an artists impression then build something different?

Well its near enough guv'nor, and its only Stafford after all.

Happens everywhere, all the time. Not just in construction either.

Ye never had that PM.

what's that I smell lol.

we don't know the ins and outs but there are some on here who I purposely think stir it and make it up and others who would be glad to see things fail instead of be successful. A sad state really.
