Hello all im Steve from Stafford FM, i will give marky d a hand on here lol..
Excellent! It's good to have an 'official' account representing Stafford FM; although as you can see, MarkyD has been doing a sterling job so far. :D

Great to have you both on-board.

Thank you so much for the support guys..
Stafford Forum has supported all Stafford radio stations (not to mention any other Stafford-based venture) from the start, offering to promote and support in any way we can and asking nothing in return. Alas, a previous attempt didn't work out so well, but so far Stafford FM seems to be really making a name for itself, and getting almost unanimous positive feedback, which really is fantastic.

Since you've gone FM I've even been able to listen to quite a bit myself, and it's been great! :D

Admin is right; love it so far, and really hope, it works out this time for the team, and it becomes a permanent fixture. I can listen in the car, which annoys the hell out of Mrs Seed, as she has to retune to listen to Signal! That'll teach her! Tee hee!

We had a tour of the studio earlier as I went to pick up tickets for the apollo I'd won a few days ago, it's looking really sharp inside, it looks like it's going to be an excellent facility..

this morning's show is obviously pre-recorded and they're having technical difficulties, because they're currently playing exactly the same "we'll just have a flick through the papers..." joke lol.. it's defo the same audio, cos it's over exactly the same song at exactly the same time, etc..

.

edit: and as if to confirm it, the dj just said "and that was diana vickers, it's now 07:53," despite it clearly being after 09:00 :D lol

not a criticism - i've been loving stafford fm since i've been able to listen due to being signed-off work atm - just a little hiccup that made me lol ;)

edit 2: actually, it might be an issue with the stream-player - i just closed the pop-up player window by accident, so went back to the stafford fm website and clicked on the "listen live" button and it was a different tune! maybe the online audio stream has a hidden sky+ style pause/rewind function :raise: lol

yeah, as per my edits i realised it was a problem at my end shortly after, nowt to do with you guys! lol..

you're spot-on, i'm an online listener so was using the website.. didn't realise that it pauses the broadcast when you press stop - that's brilliant, and something i often wish other online stations did!

His name is Gary Hazlehurst.
That surely is the name of a football commentator...
The one and only! Does the Rangers games as well as folk shows.
He is rather good for this level I was impressed

Is it Sandon Road motors who sponsor the coverage? They deserve a mention whoever they are

Can't beat a bit of 80's power snare to wake you up in the morning. ;)

It really is great being able to have the ol' wireless wake one up to Stafford FM these days. Any word on the likelyhood of your FM licence being made more permanent?

Thank you to everyone who has given us a try some people wont like what we do, but the feed back we are getting i think we may have got the product right for the people of Stafford, there are a few tweeks that will happen but nothing major. Remember this is your radio station and feel free to pop down and see us and have a look at our studios i think you will be impressed. :stafford:
