Stafford, late night shopping?

They are only there at all because John Lewis will never be interested in Stafford. If John Lewis ever did open a store in Stafford, (haha!!) kismet rose would be gone within weeks. Another example of Stafford being grateful for what it can get, and having low expectations.

Ha ha, pleb, you seriously have no idea what you are talking about do you.
They have customers from all over, and ones who come over from London, and are delighted by the shop, and wish they lived closer.
People don't always want big department stores, and would rather have that personal touch. I would love John Lewis to open in town, as that would bring even more footfall to town for them.

I Love little trolls who sit behind their keyboards trying to get a rise out of people.

I don't live in Stafford, but my 'expectations' of you are very low. I bet your wardrobe is full of primark, and 'tat' as you like to call it.

I'm guessing previous attempts to foster 'late night shopping' haven't worked - I'm sure when @Goldilox worked in Starbucks it was never that busy on late night shopping evenings - and the switch to online & click and collect shopping probably make it even less worth putting on.

I for one will be hitting Stafford town late night shopping when it's available, just to walk through the town and see the lights, pop in a few places, pop out, pop in a few drinking establishments also, and so on etc etc.

Heck, i don't even need the late nights or Christmas lights to enjoy the town centre, it's a wonderful place to be, live; eat; drink; shop.

We (Brit and I) tend to wonder though town on our way home from the train station - the lights really are lovely this year.

As I do, it isnt the quickest route, but it certainly is pleasant, I really need some late night opening, I hit town 5.05 and the majority are closing or closed.

I don't mind that (although I was fairly happy to pop into Primark for some tops and M&S for some wine the other evening) but I'm quite used to planning around shops not being open during the evening. It's probably good for my bank balance that H&M and New Look aren't open past 6/6:30 when we're walking through.

So basically there is no special late night shopping for Christmas in Stafford then - just the same shops that open until 8pm every night anyway. Why am I not surprised.

That's unless you count a few nights in the guildhall Centre open for a couple of extra hours. The three or four shops in there that are still just about hanging in will draw shoppers in from far and wide, won't they. Poundland, cheap tat card shop, cheap tat earring shop (if it's still there), the obligatory mobile phone shop and the world's most expensive shoe shop. Oh, I forgot the bloke trying to flog sky tv contracts.

Yet again, Stafford fails to deliver.

The worlds most expensive shoe shop? Assuming you mean Clarks? Considering you think everything is cheap tat that's a bit of a contradiction. Clark's shoes are quite averagely priced I think.

You really are an obnoxious tw*t. Kismet rose is a lovely shop.

Their kids shoes are bloody expensive. Definitely not tat though.

I agree with you about the kids shoes considering how much wear they get before they grow out of them. I think parents feel obliged to buy them from Clarks while they are still young. I know I did with all my children but as soon as they started school I got them cheaper ones.

You can obviously buy for a lot less elsewhere but he just burns through shoes like that in no time as they seem to fall apart.

I think because all my shoes came from Clarks when I was little I just carried on the tradition. It is important to have well fitting shoes while their bones are still soft and growing so I guess they have us really as if we don't spend all that money on a good pair we feel like bad parents!

My mum worked for Clarks, when I asked her about shoes for master Wearn she said not to bother paying the extra for Clarks shoes as it was all marketing and nonsense. He has been kitted out with shoes from.supermarkets ever since.

Again, has exactly as I said. Yet again I have been proved correct.

I can't agree with this. I always had proper start rights for my daughter, but one term, way back when, we were late back from our summer holiday and in my haste bought some cheap shoes from Asda. They were terrible, she must have fell over 10 times the first 3 days. Went back to well fitted qulaity shoes forever after. Have to admit one of my bug bears is seeing kids in cheap plastic shoes that don't fit properly struggling around the place.

I am constantly aware of the number of adults who have never really mastered the art of walking properly and not through physical infirmity of any kind.
