Stafford, late night shopping?

Back to the original thread, the last chap I heard of doing his late night shopping in The Guildhall got himself arrested.

Really?

I believe her lease is due to expire. If she does want to go it's best to go while there is so much Retail unrest. Why would you want to sign a new lease in the Guildhall at the moment ? If she does go she can hold her head high - she gave it a go which is more than can be said for most, especially the Christmas pop up shops who even get away with paying Business Rates as by the time the Council cotton on, they have gone....

I hadn't planned on leaving as the shop is still doing well, despite the worry of the new retail park, I had even ordered lots of new stock.
I had a 2 year break Clause in a 5 year contract, which Expired last week after being extended many times whilst waiting for the landlords to send me a proposal across which brought my overall occupancy costs down ( something they had agreed to) as I think 58 grand plus bills is just silly for such a tiny shop.
I had been promised constantly that I was receiving it, and then as it reached the final day, and I was again assured it would be with me by the morning, so therefore I sent an email terminating my contract.
It's such a shame as I have so many lovely regular customers.
Maybe I will find another unit in Stafford, it's just finding something suitable.

Yes! She was - but then she quickly changed her name to @Cheeky40 (as @Withnail aalso noticed) . Very rude!

There is only one rude person here, and it is not me.
I was genuinely upset that you had felt you had received bad service, after a misunderstanding, and I even tried to rectify things as that is what good customer service is about, but you threw it in my face, and ever since have loved to find reasons to swipe a dig at me.
I have many customers who think that they receive amazing customer service from us, but I guess you can't please everyone.

She'd be well suited to Mill Street/Church Lane area but no idea what rates are like
I think it's the only part of Stafford where the rates are reasonable, as empty units tend to get snapped up and people either last one year or seem to stay forever. But then the footfall is so drastically reduced and they have to rely on treating customers well and getting them to return with friends, but they all seem pretty good at that.- it's amazing how few people will walk an extra 50 yards or so and discover the best part of Stafford. Perhaps they just don't fancy walking up the side of McDonalds or walking all the way down to the Old Post Office.

I think even if they suddenly come back with an offer, I will turn it down now.
I have always stuck up for the Guildhall, but to be honest the place is a complete joke. 2 years ago when I signed my contract I was told about the food court and the so called works to makeover the centre. Lol
The 2nd week in January was the latest I was told back in November?? Well, I can't see anything happening!

I don't know what you were paying before their new proposal but if your business is doing really well and you would consider another shop I know two that would be perfect for you at about a fifth of the rent they are proposing, actually I might know of three shops haha
Or sell online, your stuff is great, if you get your marketing right it would sell really well.

I hope that you find other premises @Cheeky40

I liked your shop and I used to pop in and buy the odd thing now and again.

It's always sad when a town loses an independent retailer and I hope that you continue to trade in the town.

I see I'm tagged in this post @Carole - but you've edited the comment out.....?

The original comment was " I know that you and littleme (who I like!) didn't see eye to eye, but I quite liked your shop."

I edited it out because I thought that on reflection it didn't seem relevant to bring your name up.
