That clashes with Beaconside Road being the diversion while the Stone and Eccleshall roads are closed from 11 Feb doesn't it? Couldn't make that level of incompetence up! Only in Stafford!

correct, if the council aren't careful they could be doubling the amount of traffic along beaconside at a time when capacity has been halved. hopefully, it has been carefully planned to avoid this.

The Council's master plan:
1) Close Beaconside (4 February 2019);
2) Close Stone Road (11 February 2019);
3) Close Eccleshall Road (11 February 2019);
4) Close M6 between junctions 13 and 14 (a regular occurrence);
5) Close Stafford! (Carmageddon, coming to a County Town in Staffordshire soon).

Is there a competition to get those words into one sentence?

So the only way out of Stafford northbound in a week's time, is via Beaconside?? Or a shortcut via Corporation Street by Stafford Rangers, to join Sandon Road? Or will this be not suitable due to the sheer volume of traffic?

There's also the Doxy route, which I can't quite remember (@Gramaisc - help! Possibly includes going through Seighford) where you end up coming back onto the road at junction 14...

*Edit, I think it involves, Doxy, Seighford, Great Bridgeford, Creswell....

So, let me get this right, both the A34 and Eccleshall Road are going to be closed Northbound at the McDonald's roundabout for at least 10 weeks?
