Opinions:
The mexican one was a little dry, and without the side salad the superfood one had ... the plate looked a little sparse.
The superfood one was far tastier, but has mushrooms instead of bread .... making it less a burger in my personal opinion ;-P

The third untried one is tempura fried veggies I believe.

Now i love mushrooms but to have it replace a bap for a burger, is a little testing.
Chips look good.
Good work though Frontal, if you don't try it you don't have an opinion!

I'll report back after i've been in, over the next few days.

Hello!

Could I get some advice from you lovely people??

I am thinking about going vegan....

I have been a veggie for 15 years and since my healthy eating kick before my wedding last year I have never eaten to well and felt so good!

I (basically) eat vegan already - but just need to make a few tweaks to go the whole hog!

Things I need to find replacements for are:

Milk
Soft Cheese (feta type)
Hard Cheese (cheddar and parmesan)

My other concern would be if I'm getting everything in my diet that I need - how do you know???

Thank you xxx

Violife cheese slices are lovely and seem to have lost their weird aftertaste lately. Good replacement for cheddar in sandwiches

Well done :)

Milk - I like the blue box Oatly...its the fortified one. Quite palatable in tea and cooking things such as pancakes it's completely indistinguishable from dairy milk. DD likes almond milk, the sweetened one.

Cheese...to be honest I tried all the replacements but decided I could do with out them all.

B12 is important - marmite is the solution!

Good vegan websites give sample menus to cover all the nutrients.

The violife slices were in Asda Sefton park Liverpool so might be on Stafford:/

On phone hard to type but hope that helps.

So milk, there's numerous choices out there CR Lady, way more than that boring* old cows milk; blue top, red top or green top uhhh exciting!?

Work your way through the alternatives there's masses of them; cashew, hazelnut, rice, almond, soy, hemp, coconut, pea etc etc and then there's the sweetened or unsweetened versions of each of those and then each of those occasionally have an added taste like choclate or hazelnut or whatever.

Great thing is, you can have 2 or 3 of your favourites and mix it up each week, this way you're getting a selection of the good stuff (healthwise) without sticking to animals milk, day in day out.

*just my opinion, before any of the cow suckers start an attack!

Cheese, for me VioLife is the go to chesse guys, i haven't found my favourite just yet but then heck it probably took me years to find my favourite normal cheese (made by animal juices), so i'm in no rush. I do without most times (as it ain't all that great for you anyways) until another vegan cheese comes on the market for me to try!

I thought i was basically eating vegan when i first thought about going f/t, til i started looking at the labels and looking for the vegan logo on packets. They try to put animal stuffs in almost everything!

You other concern about getting the right stuff in your diet, it's all about re-educating yourself and then how seriously are you willing to take it? There's never been such a better time to educate yaself, it's all online, problem is trawling through the guff to get to the good stuff and even then how'dya know you're reading the right things? #minefield

Take it each step at a time and know this isn't something you can do over night, it'll take weeks and months before you know what;s best for you and the changes that are working.

Just remember Ratty, the difference you'll be making to those animals that no longer need to suffer just so you/we can have a snack!

I'm talking those animals that won't even have to be born into such cruel brutality and suffering, or those that are born and their life ended after about 3 seconds because they don't fit into the animal meat and dairy industry's profit margins.

...uh also, i take B12 supplements, little pill i pop each day what come in those tubs of 100.
I've heard and read B12's kinda important for almost anyone, even those animal eaters that ya know, get every drop of everything they ever need from eating animals.

Sorry, no more animal eaters bashing...

...for a short while.

The big problem for vegetarians, vegans and various faith groups is gelatine. It is sneaked into all sorts of strange things and if something is gelatine free one week, the next week it has had gelatine added. I've even had to refuse some medicines because gelatine has been used to give the pills nice shiny coats, and as for things that are only available in gelatine capsules ...

Type 'What is gelatin' into Uncle Google, ummm umm yum yum gelatin bubble gum.

I can't beleive i only woke up to this sorta crazyness a few months ago!

Speaking of gelatin, after my meal at The Bear Grill recently a tiny bowl of gummy bears was put in front of me with the bill, i thought i was in a Wacky Warehouse for a minute, but more of that later...
