It would have to be compatible with the designer "Marker-pen on cornflake packet" - as seen in caravans....wmrcomputers said:What about linking speed camera's up with registration numbers and then bank accounts. An instant fine as soon as you go through one too fast!
Actually maybe not. I have a trailer and would probably get billed twice!!
The Irish police have recently demonstrated a technology capable of disabling number plate recognition systems. It's clearly visible in the last minute of this video. It can be achieved using ordinary household materials available to the general public. The perpetrators of this video are still at large.wmrcomputers said:What about linking speed camera's up with registration numbers and then bank accounts. You have a point, although "just supposing" i'd bought a car with this spray already applied (because of course I wouldn't intentionally break the law), then I wouldn't deliberately break any limits BUT if I ACCIDENTALLY slipped on the accelerator whilst travelling past a speed camera and the spray i never knew was on my plate just so happened to block it from said camera.... then that would of course be a bonus!Gramaisc said:I would be more inclined to trust a Garda-endorsed yellow plastic bag and tape. You wouldn't know if the 'invisible' spray worked until it was too late.
Woah woah woah don't go giving them any more ideas. Besides there is the issue of who is drivng although this is being combatted by cameras facing backwards into the car.wmrcomputers said:What about linking speed camera's up with registration numbers and then bank accounts. Do you not get bored driving at 30mph? I have found myself losing concentration loads at 30 mph, especially in modern cars, even medium family hatchbacks like focusses and astras etc make it hard to tell you are really moving at 30 mph.Florence said:Here's a slightly less technical "good idea" re speed cameras. Take your foot off the accelerator pedal. Better still, drive at, or under the speed limit all the time. Voila! No fines.
And before anyone mentions a certain trip to Nottingham, and a certain 30mph limit, I am aware of the need to follow my own good advice.
Ah, but this is of little use when targetting motor bikes where the rider's face is hidden and there is no front number plate. Just think what the tek-monkey could get away with then - if he could start his bike!shoes said:Besides there is the issue of who is driving although this is being combatted by cameras facing backwards into the car.wmrcomputers said:What about linking speed camera's up with registration numbers and then bank accounts. If you'd been in the car when travelling in that 30mph limit with her in Nottingham you would definitely not have been bored. You would also have been much less concerned about losing your concentration than losing the contents of your bowels.shoes said:Do you not get bored driving at 30mph? Also if we all had as much time and as many assistants to get stuff done as these health and safety busybodies then having to travel everywhere at just over the speed of walking would be fine, however it is impractical.
Once again i would wager 90+% of people gettin hit by cars is their own fault and it's simply a natural way of thinning out the gene pool.
