Ever seen small kids play football. They all run after the ball like a shoal of fish. The ball tends to get away from them and the field is to big so they get exhausted. A square ball would solve the problem.

Not an invention, just a thought I had earlier while cooking. Minced beef costs about £4/kg, cooking bacon costs more like £1.60/kg. Bonus is you cut it to the size you want, so lardons or mini steaks its up to you. What recipes could I replace the beef with bacon, and have just as good if not better a meal? I'll be trying a bacon lasagne soon!

Following on from the above, why don't they make lasagne dishes the size of lasagne pasta sheets? I have some great dishes for these, they are pyrex with a plastic lid so you can freeze them and stack them up but then throw straight in the oven. The problem is you have to snap the sheets of pasta, if they did a few in 1/2/3 sheet sizes it'd be perfect!

Which now makes me think of multi-layer oven trays for things such as oven chips for a large brood... still only taking up one oven shelf.

I thought all bacon was cooking bacon......what else can it be used for?

Whilst very true it varies by a factor of 10 depending on how you cut it! And cure, but well chosen cooking bacon can be tastier than lardons and 1/3 the price.
