I would like to just say that I love my kids to bits. I was not fat until I had kids, having four in 6 years and stopping smoking (now a non smoker for nine years) didn't help at all. I never speak to my kids in that way, totally respect them, even though they can be a nightmare in Asda. I eat healthily, apart from the odd evening drink live a healthy lifestyle. Could do with a few hours a week in the gym which is on my very busy agenda. But beware any ladies behind me moaning, who presumedly have red hair who curse me for stopping for something in the aisle. Sod off and don't get too close as I might just have to give a sly nudge with me trolley.

So let me get this right. You love and respect your kids and have put on a bit of weight. If you bothered to read the previous posts correctly you will notice that they were not addressing you.

I will moan at you if you push infront of me in a queue. I will also do same if you keep repeatedly stopping in the middle of a supermarket aisle and blocking the way for everyone else. I was complaining about the general lack of awareness people have for others these days.

You will also notice that my original post did not mention anything about kids. This was a later input from Gota Quid who has having a rant about someone who was nigh on abusing their kids. The only link was the supermarket setting.

If you feel some need to defend yourself as a result of these postings - you obviously see something of these descriptions in yourself.

Business opportunity for you there?! Do It Yourself - I'll buy some.

I was asked through a friend of a friend to build a website for a Cornish Pasty business - you wouldn't happen to know them would you?

Alas no - the chap disappeared. Twas why I was wondered if you may have had a Cornish Pasty friend. Track him down and give him a quote.

As this is the rant thread though, I should desist with the jovial chit chat and post a rant.

*** Rant ***

Buying a gorgeous looking Cornish Pasty and cutting in to it only to find a huge air pocket, a thin grey smear of meat and a lone potato chunk. Curse you false pasty proprietors!

If you'd care to read what i'd written again, I quoted no-one but brought up different matters from the conversation. You obviously have no sense of irony and only a bitchy streak which comes out when you say, and I quote,
' I know they secure a home and income via the state but there are alternatives - such as employment and not being an f up.'
You should be disgusted with yourself on this comment alone. All I can say from that comment is that you are a lower class person with a middle class attitude.

My rant of the day, Gobby littly 27year olds who think they know it all.

Me and Finbar fall out every week in Asda, and Tesco, in fact him and me and shops, just don't mix.

We've all said things to our kids that in reflection wasn't quite acceptable, but having an argument with them, leaves you feeling
worse than anything you've argued about, with any boyfriend, about anything ever. It leaves you hollow inside.

Labcm I'm hearing ya loud and clear. Only a parent will understand the level of pain/love/patience/tolerance that you have to endure 24/7, and that's without the weekly shopping trips.

labcm, seriously, i really love your presence on the forum, but you might want to reconsider your bitterness if you want your posts to be taken seriously round here.. none of theflamingred's comments were directed at you, and yet you seem to have taken them very personally :strange:

I was using myself as an example that is why I explain my 'fatness', nobody would mention the race of the person. As far as I was concerned this was offensive and I meant the whole conversation between gotaquid and famingred, and the remark about a shove with my trolley was irony. The most insulting thing was the implication of people having kids to get money from the government and live of that when they should be getting a job and are total f ups.

Quote; I know they secure a home and income via the state but there are alternatives - such as employment and not being an f up.'

I didn't like what she said, I don't like fatist remarks and I think I've made my point so enough said.

eh? i've read that sentence about a dozen times and i can't make head nor tail of it.. why on earth do you bring up race??

i fail to see what part of your post was ironic.. why would red's sense of irony have anything to do with it? and she's hardly demonstrating a "bitchy streak".. in case you haven't noticed, this is a rant thread, ergo red is ranting.. she isn't being mindlessly "bitchy", she is posting a response as the OP intended..

ironically (ah, there it is), you are the one being bitchy.. you have chosen to slot yourself into a demographic that no-one pegged you part of, and chosen to take comments personally and out of centext that were in no way directed at you..

i don't think what she said was "fattist".. she wasn't ranting against fatties in general, just obnoxious fat people with no regard for other shoppers.. in the same way that jimbob's post earlier in the thread isn't ranting about mothers & toddlers in general, just those who have no consideration for others..

i am not suggesting for a minute that you fall into this category, and i don't believe anyone else here is..

Scottish Power are 'Feckers'

We bought our first house back in '99. We were with British Gas in our old rented flat and as you know they were expensive useless c*nts. They pissed us around for months with our final bill. To top it off the new bills at our new house - which was new and pretty efficient were a bit pricey. My wife decided to switch to Scottish Power as they were offering very competative rates on a monthly direct debit. They would calculate your usage and set your debit accordingly. This was great, our direct debit for gas and leccy was an amazing 24 quid a month.......so feckin cheap. I thought to myself it's bound to go up..but it didn't really ony by 3 quid in 6 years. People came around every 3 months and took readings so we assumed that everything was ok. We bought another house two years ago (a renovation jobby) only across the road. We rang up Scottish Power with our final reading and low and behold we got a final bill from them of £800 due to the fact that we had not been paying enough over the six years. All the statements we had got off them had had listed actual readings however there system was not able to correlate the readings to usage and what was actually being paid by our direct debit. They told us they had to do this manually and no one had reviewed our usage in 6 years. To top it off we had already gone with them in our new house with some degree of effort from Mrs. Moley (curlysue) - another long story. They asked us to pay it immediately - christ we had just moved house so we had no money and essentially it was their bloody fault, what's the point in taking readings when you don't bloody look at them. What would have happened if we'd have lived there for 20 years, a £5000 underspend? Anyway Curlysue got them down to £500 that we owed since it was their balls up and they eventually agreed to setting up a new direct debit of £5/month over 5 years.

Round 2

They calculated our new direct debit as being £60/month in our new house for gas and leccy which was fine. They actually reviewed it after 1 year this time and we ended up owing them over £300. Now we are overpaying on our direct debit to them. We can't really leave them as owe them so much farking money and to top it off Curlysue paid extra on our direct debit to have rise in gas and leccy prices capped for two years, but they still sent us letters in that time every 6 months saying that our direct debit would be doubled.

So please avoid them, if you are with them get them to review your usage every so often because if you move house you'll end up owing them shit loads.

As for Severn Trent Water don't even get me startded - twats

Firstly, who gave you job of sheriff round here,

Secondly, she implies that people have kids to get a council house and money from government and are unemployed layabouts and total F**k ups. Now if this is not bitching, I don't know what is.

Thirdly, I wouldn't go into a thread with, 'black gits get on my nerves in supermarkets with their kids' as it is offensive and racist, the same as I wouldn't go into a thread with fat gits get on my nerves in supermarkets with their kids as it is 'fattist' Racism was an EXAMPLE. I gave an EXAMPLE of myself to explain why I didn't like 'fattism'. I did not single her out alone for this remark.

By irony i mean

'But beware any ladies behind me moaning, WHO PRESUMABLY HAVE RED HAIR (note the irony here),who curse me for stopping for something in the aisle. Sod off and don't get too close as I might just have to give a sly nudge with me trolley.'

I said I was being Ironic, not her, read the thread properly. This was said as a joke and excuse me but I thought I was being 'IRONIC' by saying this, not meant to be taken seriously or offence to. Which Red obviously has by her later remarks.

Lastly,

This started off as me having a rant at 'Fattists' by firstly explaining why I don't like 'fattism'.(admitidely I should have mad myself clearer in the first instant but it should be clear by now) and a bad remark made by Red.

You have not read through this thread correctly, try again.

Are you Norris or Blanche

The exact thing happened to us with Powergen, won't go into it too much as you have said most but you DO NOT have to pay them any more than you can afford. As with you, it was their balls up. We agreed to pay them the normal ammount (after it had been re-calculated) plus an agreed ammount extra that we could afford not what they demanded. (obviously the more you pay the better, we paid extra when we could afford it) Thankfully we're paid off and now pay when it's due. So unless Scottish Power and Powergen are the same, they all seem to be f**k wits.

If you are going to make inflammatory posts, expect people to disagree. This does not mean they are assuming any position of authority, they are merely rebutting your argument.

I am not taking any sides here, I am merely trying to keep things civil!

...which is a shame, given your beautiful example there lol..

look flower, i have no idea why you have such a persecution complex, but your general attitude recently isn't very endearing.. i have absolutely no desire to fall out with you (or anyone round here), and frankly childish tit-for-tat like this doesn't reflect well on either of us, so let's just leave it, eh?

Hands up, I did say that and take it back, apologies, but you calling me love and flower in the manner you have is also antagonising.

I take it you have re-read the thread and also realised your mistake. I will not bring it up again.
