A conversation in a launderette along the lines of "the weather isn't very nice today is it?"

"No it is forecast to be a bit showery later on."

"Yes I heard that it was a golden shower day today"

On the train from Norwich to London
"There will be an at seat trolley service for First Class customers, please move any luggage from the aisleway so as not to prevent Doris (not sure it that is her real name) proceeding with her trolley of temptation". Made me laugh anyway :)

Went to see Comedy at The Met tonight, watched a great comedian - Neil Delamere, there was a very mixed age audience with 2 lads in their late 20's sat directly behind us.

Part of the set was a piece about Gerry Adams & the I.R.A.... 2 lads behind us to each other - 'What's the I.R.A'?

    :?: :tumbleweed:

*note to @Carole do you ever work in the Met? Is there anywhere to give feedback & is it taken seriously?

Yes, I do work in The Met.
At the end of the evening if anyone gives us feedback whether positive or negative we tell the management.
They actively encourage it so it is taken seriously.
If it’s to do with production you can e mail

    richard.goodman@freedom-leisure.co.uk

Edited to say alternatively you can tell me either on here or by pm and I’ll let them know when I go in on Tuesday.

    Heard and saw @Goldilox .
Very entertaining, and for a couple of songs, myself and a colleague were backing singers! I won't be able to listen to Ghostbusters in the same light ever again.
Shame he doesn't do requests, perfect voice for the acoustic version of Ace of Spades.

Nice to meet you, Glam, it was a lovely afternoon :)

It's not that I "don't do requests", it's just that I didn't know the song requested...

Have you not learned all David Essex’s songs off by heart then? :bananarock:
