One of today's tasks was to shift a load of this year's wood into the Greenhouse, to dry under the bench over the Summer. This was achieved just as the rain arrived.
It will dry steadily under there. That greenhouse is much less harsh than the the other, which has rather greater solar exposure, but, it will do the job.
It also gave me a chance to test my Solar Drying Rack - a grid salvaged from some defunct device in the past and given four small feet, for an airspace underneath. The woodpile is on plastic sheeting, to avoid filling the gravel with debris, so some of the lower items in the pile were wet.
Wet gloves left on the rack for just a few minutes in the greenhouse were dry again - much more efficient than I expected.
Definitely worthy of doing something similar, if you have the facilities.
And black gloves helped, of course.
