see the Karma link at the bottom right of every post? that's there so you can rate a user Skill or Cuffy accordingly.. if you do something to impress, someone will click your Skill link and you will receive a point.. if you piss someone off, they will call you Cuffy and a point will be deducted!

i could cuffy you for not knowing, but instead i will award you skill for showing an interest :)

Parkside my teacher was Mr Dutton. Anyone remember him? lol. I weren't there for long...April til July, then it was off to Balfour lol.
I used to play rugby with Dutt' at St Leonards, he was pretty good in his prime, and not at all like a primary school teacher, but that's probably me just stereotyping. I believe Mr Dutton is still at Parkside fulfilling the role of deputy headteacher.

Not the official 2520th poster!
Dirtybobby: Thanks for the Skill!! :D *thumbs up*

gon2seed: A rugby player eh? Thinking about it now, he doesn't strike me as a Primary School Teacher Type lol. But then there were a hell of a lot of nobs that went to that school, so they needed a rugby player to poke them hehe.

i just joined the I went to Walton High group on that new fangled facebook thingy, and they're all talking about some bird called "mrs. kirkham" being head.. then there's the occasional user coming on and claiming to be "old" because it was mr. hardman in their day.. i feel like a right old codger now!

Anyone from Weston Road? As a village girl I went to St.Peters in Hixon and then on to Weston Road High. We were never the best school and never the worst, just somewhere in the middle!

hadn't really though about school for a while until the recent council elections when the labour candidate for our area was a gilr that had threatened to beat me up at school - for talking to her friends boyfriend!! Nice

I went to Barnfields primary - seem to be the only one?

Another Waltonian here too!

It's all happened since I've left though.

Mr Hardman had a nervous breakdown

Mrs Whiting was diagnosed with cancer.

Mr Corrigan has married a former student - approx 20+ years his junior.

wow, were we really that harsh on hardman? despite being the headteacher, he was a pretty sound bloke, my respect for whom grew in my the senior years, especially after seeing him plastered on dodgy vodka in the ukraine....however, i still havent forgiven him for asking me if ed cook was my brother () after a the first music concert he attended. my mum had to physically hold me back from ripping out his innards. :grr:

i remember mrs whiting being diagnosed, but im fairly certain she's had the all clear now. my over-riding memory of her was at our 6th form leaving do, picture the scene...me in my post frock wrestling with a handbag, 4 bottles of reef, an errant stole and a lit cig (i was holding it for someone else!) and her saying..."X (anonimity clause), would you like a had with that?" and me being forever grateful coz that round cost me a small fortune! ;)

as for mr corrigan- it must have been the story telling charm and that distinguishing streak in his hair that snared the lady. sound bloke none the less.

who's ed cook? i grew up in st17 so knew plenty of waltoners but ed cook? i remember a lad called 'cookie' who was the same age as me, 33 if you must know. i don't think his name was ed though. he was pleasant but a bit simple if that helps.

for the record, i didn't even know who cookie monster was referring to and i went to primary school with the guy! i never heard him called "ed cook" to be honest - it was always "edward cook".. i was actually pretty good friends with him in my younger years.. blue crimplene slacks and a briefcase.. lej..

edit: and he would be 5 years your junior, tenshon..

Yeah! the Walton Mafia are taking over, it's the same all over the town; The North's gonna rise again, ST16 till I die...

Calling all North Enders, I will be organising a "True Staffordians" freedom meeting/pub crawl. We will start with a pint and cheap meal in the Penny, pop in to the Holmcroft for a few snifters, and by then we should be tanked up enough for a ruck in The Crispin or The Monkey Run (Antelope). All this will be preparation for a pitched battle with the dark sourthern forces, I suggest outside The Top of The World. Anyone interested write your name on the climbing wall in the middle of the pitches on Woodlands Road.
