The best way to avoid waste is get rats!!

They'll eat (almost) anything!

Pop your chicken carcass in - leave over night and by morning *poof* gone!!

Only things I found they wouldn't eat was bagels and fried chicken from Sandon Road Chippy.

Take that as you will....

Working from home today. so thought I'd do haggis (the day only being an excuse). Aldi haggis has way too much liver in it, it's all I can taste. :(

Probably pig offal? For a decent haggis it has to be lamb, certainly for lungs anyway you can get away with beef liver. Pork lungs are too dense, makes them more like faggots. Sainsburys have a Simon Howes haggis in for £2 which appears to be the real thing, also a macsween although it looks a little anaemic. I rarely touch the cheap ones anymore, unless its part of a recipe.

Somebody, upon going away for a few weeks, insisted on giving me some Edam slices. Reluctant to waste them, and prepared to be disappointed a bit, I had a 'cheese' roll this afternoon.

To say that the 'cheese' was insipid would be a gross exaggeration - in terms of cheesiness, it was homeopathic.

I might as well have melted a candle onto the bread.

It has the look of a Gin and Trifle day here

May go surfing on the Marshes later
Mr M. Why don't you bring the Merc down to the boating lake here at Castletown? No-one to disturb you, and you won't scare the cute n cuddly animals on the marshes..................
