Haven't seen much activity on the Island pub in the last couple of weeks.

The chaps that I spoke to were merely removing the debris from some preliminary interior demolition. I suspect that it will all take some time, although they expressed the opinion that it would open 'this summer'..

Went past this morning. Lights were on and there were chaps in full protective gear and masks surrounded by a huge cloud of dust - it was a veritable hive of activity

I parked outside it this afternoon and noticed the new UPVC side windows . Had a look through the door glass,hoping no-one was actually inside at the time to see my face squashed up against the glass . Just saw a big round table infront of the bar and the rest stripped out with lots of dust everywhere. Daren't look any more as the fan on the outside wall started whirling round ...........

Well I was at panache on Friday night and asked the owner if he was moving to the malt and hops/island site but he said not at the moment...looks like discussions and negotiations going on still....but they defo have to leave their current site....the mystery deepens!

I see Rikki's van parked there most times when I walk past or park there, but never any sign of him. Often wonder if he's spotted me and got down hiding out of view................

oh-my-gord, have you seen the plastic doors they've put in, god only knows what they're doing to the inside now!?
Do the people installing (or those that pay to have new UPVC windows and doors installed) not look at keeping the integrity of a building, UPVC doors can look OK if the right design is chosen but these cowboys have opted for what look like the cheapest option, and in my mind that sort of attitude can only lead to one thing, failure!

Hi All.... I Can CONFIRM that Panache will not be moving there. However the Guys at Panache are looking for a new site to move to within the next 3 months. The Panache Site is going to be a 70 bed care home and the owners are seeking a new site to move to.
