Desirable changes to the new forum...

Mmm, it might grow on me...
I'm sure it will; give it a chance.

I tried to take onboard what everyone has said. This new style has a header that better illustrates Stafford, has more obvious breaks between messages, and has more obvious/pronounced text where necessary. :)

Was the 'QuickNav' thing there before? I didn't notice it..
Yep - all the functionality is the same, just the look has changed, making it easier to spot things. :)
Who took the picture of the park? Can you tell us,or is it to stay annoymous?
I can't remember, to be honest. I just had it lurking in my 'Photos of Stafford' folder!

Much better Mr Admin! Crisp and clean and no overly pale shades.
I Also like your faint header image - did you nip to the town park while the weather was nice today by any chance? ;)

Anyway, it gets my

I see that everybody now gets a 'default microphone avatar' - better than the gender specific/unspecific one that was there.

But, it confused me for a while there, as I tend to think of people by their avatar to a large extent..

Not sure if this has been mentioned elsewhere, with the new theme, when I am on the front page, the sub forums are no longer bold if they have unread posts in.... this means I have to go into each subforum to check for posts... can it be changed?

I think I've attached this image correctly, so hopefully you can see that it doesn't display properly for me...

Now there is a little head 'n' shoulders in the 'speech bubble' next to the sub forum if there are unread posts in - also the 'speech bubble' has the pointy bit pointing to the left if there are unread posts, the other way if not.

I guess it is just a matter of getting used to looking for the head 'n' shoulders icon rather than bold type.

Thanks Withnail, yes just realised that the head and shoulders indicates that... I should pay more attention :D

I don't mind how it displays it to be honest, just as long as I know one way or another. Cheers.

I had spotted the 'head and shoulders' bit, but hadn't noticed the directionality of the speech bubble, I must admit.
