Always hated the dress up days tbh. Not my thing one bit.
I used to hate them as well . Sons class mates would all go in expensive bought / hired costumes , while I was tearing my hair out trying to find something in the cupboards to convert to dress him up in. Not being at all artistic , it was a nightmare each time he came home announcing another dressing up themed day !

Not got much faith in the solicitors who are dealing both with the selling of our house and future purchase! Rang the team there last monday to say we had pulled out of the purchase property after a damning survey report , and was told that file would now be closed until we found another property .
Just received an email from the same team .. they hadn't yet received the draft contract on that (pulled out of ) property , so were chasing up with vendors solicitors. In a blind panic contacted them..... Apparently "message wasn't passed on" .

That's terrible, a drunk driver too!? I'd just come in the house from getting my shopping out of the boot, a few minutes the other way & I would have been hit by my own car.
Yes, he was as drunk as a lord, over 3 times the drink drive limit when breathalysed l!. He actually drove off too, my next door neighbour was quicker out of the house than me (& 20 years younger!). He chased him on foot for over 1/2 mile until he caught the guy at his flat & called the Police. Scary that there are people on our roads who don't give a monkeys about driving in that state. It was not the first time he had been caught doing it either!.

All solicitors in Stafford are utter crap I'm afraid.

This one of ours is in Leeds. Thought I was getting a local one with going with estate agents recommended one. (Then turns out to be too far to just walk down to sort documents rather than tearing my hair out for hours trying to do it all online. )

Ffs, my days been crap, got a lift to work but walked home to find a note saying the bloke who collided with our cars hadn't reported it to either his insurers or the police, then had 3 visits from him, with him having a go for us reporting the accident to the insurers and a police, because "its not an accident if no ones hurt and it doesn't happen on a main Rd".

Then got a call saying mine & my neighbours car will both likely be written off. (hers is brand new, miness an old banger and any payout won't cover the finance left on it).

All after being dragged into meetings at work to tell us there are more redundancys in our store due to happen by April.

Angry is the word of the day. 🤬🤬🤬
A bloke who crashed into me years ago gave false insurance details. Took my insurance company , in Eastgate street at the time, nearly a year of 'we are working on it' to find out when my renewal was due that he wasn't insured at all. So lost all my no claims.

So, one of the crows has made himself a den in a patch of the garden that I was going to tidy next. He has some sort of leg injury, which presumably makes hanging onto branches in the normal fashion a bit difficult at the moment. It seems fairly clear that one, or both, of us is going to be worse off in the immediate aftermath of a capture attempt. At the moment, he seems OK to hobble about, and we have established a feeding regime.

There are cats about, but I doubt they're up to taking him on, I've never known them actually catch a bird yet.

We'll see how things progress.

Another gig tonight, let's hope this one* goes ahead without any issue... seeing 'Halestorm' in at the 02 Academy in brum.

* I realised last week that, since November, I've had tickets for no less than 6 live music gigs and have only managed to attend 1 of them.

Crows and Ravens are highly intelligent and possibly sacred birds, if you help them they will never forget & probably repay your kindness... Treat him/her wisely & good things will come your way.

Mmm, we'll see...

He was hopping about a bit before dark and he had his supper then. A couple of his mates popped in and one of them might have also brought a food item, I think.

It looks like it might be just the leg issue and he's not flying largely because he has concerns about the landing procedure with his current deficiency - perhaps.

Mmm, it's been a bit of a drizzly evening and I'm having to use the back door now, as he has (very sensibly) moved into the porch. In fact, I realise now that he was there last night - there was a bit of 'evidence' there today, and there was more than the usual amount of activity from his mates around there this morning. He's had a second supper now, whilst I nipped down to the pub. We'll see how he is tomorrow.

Feed him up, good luck, you may have a friend for life.

He's generally hung around the Shed today, but he does seem to be getting rather more mobile. He's climbed on top of the woodpile - and he's created a little shed for himself, in front on my shed. I've turned on the outdoor speakers and there's a fairly subdued level of entertainment going on. I went out shopping this afternoon and, on my return, I took advantage of his absence to check if his shed needed a better roof, but he's used a piece of plywood and I'm not going to improve much on that. I was also concerned that he might be installing a fire...

All in all, he seems to be getting along steadily better and being less concerned about my proximity - he's also eating quite well.

My lovely brand new (courtesy) car arrived today... A 71 kia ceed, makes my fiesta look like something Fred flintstone should own. I don't want to give it back.... Anyone want to gift me one.....?

I've never, ever, driven something so new or expensive. The gears are in the wrong place though... And I'm not sure why I need 6 gears? That's just greedy, don't they know I never leave Stafford & rarely bet above 40mph.....

My god, I had no idea there were actual real people like this living in Stafford. Some of his tweets are unbelievable, I'm still shaking my head in disbelief!
