American Presidential Election

Spouting nonsense since the day I learned to talk
Amongst many reasons why i'd be against your making of voting being compulsory; Freedom of choice, high chance of yet more ill-informed voting, wasted man hours and money dishing out fines (if that's the route you'd take) to those that refused to vote and because i said so.
What if there was a "none of the above" option?

I'm not sure if compulsory voting should come in or that it would actually work. But when such a large proportion of people don't vote, how can an election be truly representative of the wishes of the people when lots don't bother to vote?

I saw the graphic below on Twitter. It says stats are from the Electoral Commission (I haven't checked) but if they are true, it's a big number of people who aren't having their say - or don't want to, of course.

No good trying to make people vote or question why people aren't voting, question why the heck the people trying to get our vote are a pile of old horse-y dung.
Getting more people to vote only means the people that win and lose, are getting larger quantitiess of votes!
Getting more people to vote doesn't guarantee the right person (if that right person's even running for a postition), wins!!

...damn it, i promised myself not to use explanation marks, an that.
