This is the website I have Davenports - only lists 5 of their pubs but the site is being rebuilt. More of them get a mention their Facebook page

Of those five the Queens Head is the only one I've used, last April.

Thought you visited the Littleton Arms but they didn't have any Davenport's cask beers on at the time. They have had Davenports Mild. But then that isn't one of the five on their website so it doesn't count.

I'm a bit disappointed, it looks like a minimal makeover, even keeping the name.

I mean if Spoons couldn't make it work, dunno what difference a different firm charging higher prices will make.

I suppose if you wanted to go spoons , you'd just go to the bigger one but who knows.

But Stonegate don't charge higher prices in their The Yard, nor Amber Taverns in Hogarths.
With such a reputation for low prices Wetherspoons can get away with normal prices for many of their p[roducts.

I've heard the plan is minimal change now, get the pub up and running for the Christmas season then it will close for a refurb in the New Year.

They had the door open this afternoon as I walked past. Pretty much all of downstairs is stripped back down to barebones waiting to be refitted.
