@Withnail you can stick your constant abuse where the sun don’t shine! Moron!
All these people having Covid again but are multiple jabbed? Still don’t get it? And these other illnesses are in the up! Jeeeeez!
I'm not sure how many times people have to repeat the same thing to you before it sinks in? The jab makes you less ill from covid, it doesn't stop covid, that was proven well over a year ago.

As for the attampt at an article, why go to the bother of taking a picture then posting that when you could have just linked to it? And I'm not sure what your point is, that something else is killing people? These are still EXCESS deaths? Here is the article if anyone is interested, unlike your screenshot I removed the paywall too:

Gilbert, you have me in a constant state of flux between thinking you're just a well-meaning bloke who has fallen for bad information, that you're a troll who posts abject nonsense for fun and that you're an absolute fuckwit who if you had one more brain cell it would die of loneliness.

No prizes for guessing which I've settled on today.

What part of the vaccine don't you understand? It doesn't stop you catching covid, it stops the symptoms being so bad that you are hospitalised! Just the same as the Pneumonia vaccine, I'm working with people who've had it 3 times now despite being vaccinated, but all of them have been able to stay at home with no need for hospitalisation..... I've managed 2.5 + years without catching it (yes, at hospital I was treated as if I had long covid, but it was in fact a chest infection, which was horrific enough that I NEVER want to catch covid) , it seems unlikely that I will completely avoid the current rise as I've been working with/ serving so many infected people.... I felt lousey this morning & tested, negative..... Fingers crossed it stays that way.

I NEVER want to catch covid
Don't.

But, you probably will, the way things are going.

It was never confirmed scientifically that I had it over Christmas, but it seems very likely - I was able to just segregate myself from humanity, until things subsided to a sensible level. Looking back at it, I would probably have blown the whistle, if I had seen somebody else in the state I was in. But, I did survive.

However, I am in the position where I can compare tasks done at the present time to identical tasks done last year - hedge-cutting, moving and stacking the wood delivery, etc. Unfortunately, it is clear that a full recovery to preceding operating levels has not happened, and probably won't now, I suspect.

I know, fingers crossed, but thd odds are looking worse & worse, another 2 people I worked with on Sunday have tested posative.. Scratchy/blobby throat, temperature & banging headache for me this morning... But negative.
Im running out of tests, free ones are no longer available.... Ideas for the best cheapest/best/availability of tests going?
We sell them at work... Around £9.50 for 6, any better deals anyone?

Although I do have to return to the Big Island at some point, for a couple of months, whilst I'm here, my social contacts probably put me at greatest risk of contracting avian flu, I think - although, the birds, even the current Robin, are maintaining a reasonable distance, most of the time - but, I did have to manhandle a Swallow out of the Shed the other day.

I managed to trim the overhanging branches above the Shed roof today, and clean the flue - all without falling off the roof - and quite a bit of stuff has been achieved over the last few days, so things may be improving a bit..?

Turns out the horse races was a super spreader event. At least 4 or 5 of us positive so far out of a group of 30 (it was a work corporate do)
So far my symptoms haven't been too bad. I am lucky enough that I can work from home and have managed to carry on. Generally had a bad head and a cough. Have been tired but not exhausted. Think I have been one of the lucky ones although woke up this morning and have no taste or smell

Glad to say everyone is testing negative now after I bought Covid home
🙈

I still have a pretty bad cough but the fatigue seems to have gone.

I was hobbling away from hospital this morning and as I crossed a zebra crossing, as quickly as I could, somebody sat there revving their engine at me.
You strike me, as that sort of driver!
I used to walk like that each time I was released from prison, just in case plod were there to re arrest me . Gave them a false sense of speed

This is not forward planning! This is knowing how you’ll be controlled!
